Summerfest Lookout Thread (2023)

I don't know about Summer, but it's a very apt quality for Spring- especially this one.

It'll all be gone before the change of seasons anyway.

 

I just looked, not within 20 miles. To be honest, I dont give a rat's patootie about Summerfest. I want Narwhal!

 

Only seen the one 6 pack I picked up out here. Kind of surprised because we usually get very good distribution from Sierra Nevada.

 

I have 4 places in Casper that has it.

 

Me too -- knowing where you are, that's odd.

FWIW -- one of the locations that shows near me on that finder has been sold out for at least a week.

 

I'll trade you for some Anchor Steam.

 

It's been everywhere around us: Giant, Wegmans...$11.99 at both.

 

We have Steam in town. Older than crap but it's here.

 

Yeah, I'm guessing it's the fact that powder day moved really slowly. Which I understand, it was a fine beer but it was way too potent to be a regular purchase. I don't know who the market is for 12 packs or 9% beers honestly

 

Just looking, and it is "limited quantity" at a lot of TWs around Tampa. And I paid 14.99 for my 4 X 12s. The price is now 21.99. What?

 

7.7 according to the listing, but yeah -- still a bit higher than I like for an everyday beer (like my usual 12-pack purchases).

 

Ah OK, a little lower than I remembered. But yeah, like you, I'm not slamming back 12 packs of near 8% beers. I have a hard time imagining any brand moving real volume that's higher than 6.5%

 

Found another 6-pack today -- looks like another local with only one case worth of SF delivered -- and it took some hunting to find it on the shelf.

I'm guessing this is the same batch as what I found earlier, though that damned black ink-jetting is impossible to find on the cardboard pack.

Still pretty strong in those Saphir hops, but nice doughy malts in the background.

Has anyone seen or sampled this on draft yet?

 

How many cases you guys on?

Total has slowly added a few bucks since it's been out in my area. Was 14.99 now 18.50ish about 20 after taxes. Soo now I'm wondering about Celebration this year, same thing going to happen. Last year I grabbed 2 12s for like 34 after taxes all season. Wtf..

 

According to the alt SN beer finder it's on tap at a bar within walking distance. Maybe I can get down there next week in the afternoon when it's a bit quieter than the weekend.

The search results showed a couple places not too far away that have Hoptimum on tap. Don't forget to bring the designated driver.
