I can't believe how easy it is to walk up and get variants on tap this year.

All the character has been sucked out of DLD. This was like a corporate event. No lines for 2023 Handjee? Ridiculous. The longest lines were for food or Wheel of Death which rather than for pours it was $25 for whole bottles!!!! 2021 Adult size beverage wa okay Munster Punch (DL with various fruit) was interesting. 2023 Sundae was meh. 2020 My Rod My Comfort was excellent. I was surprised how much DL and variants there were, how little three Floyd’s or WarPigs regular stuff, and how short lines were for beer and bottle pick up(literally no lines and no one in sight). Biggest complaint other than this had no seedy edge
To it of years prior was that they seemed to release the same variants at the same time- every one in your group got the same bottles or if you picked up during day group D time you all got Sundae, Vanilla and Rrhari for variants rather than being random. Amazing how
Accessible variants were on draft.

 

Took me a bit, but the tiberian inquisitor was placed on the end of a table in the tent.

I think a lot has changed in peoples gathering habits and beer fest habits since last time the had a festival. I’m grateful it still exists at this point.

 

Still a great fest and great time, just lacked the personality and grit of previous years. Would go back next. Year without a doubt. It was fun to chat people up in line back in the day when lines existed which they didn’t this year.

 

You can get variants at every tent without a line. No line for bottles. Bring your own beer in. There’s literally nothing you can complain about this year (except the Donerman line).

Also, I want My Rod My Comfort.

 

It was on draft from about 1:30pm to at least 4 pm in the FFF drafts tent next to Food 2 on the map.

 

Yeah, it sucked a little. Maybe just don't go next year.
