It's downtown so it's a bit tricky. I reckon that I could fork over $2 for the parking garage. Oh yeah, it's free on Saturdays and Sundays.

I just don't picture traffic and parking to be any worse in Casper than my congested little corner of suburbia, but I've never been there -- so I can't say.

Then again, chancing the crowds and the local constabulary just for a beer is never a good gamble.

I'm hoping the Beer Temple in Chicago gets it on draft...they have SNPA on draft year-round, so I figure if any "craft" bar in the city gets it, they will.

    But nothing so far.

SF seems to be selling well and with the "For A Limited Time!" on the package a good way to boost the price a bit I suppose.

Picked up another 6'er this weekend - Such a solid beer and goes great with grilling!

Having another SF this afternoon. It's good, I like it, but those Saphir hops are a bit too much for extended drinking. To me, of course.

Did a little side by side with summerfest and Moonlight brewing's Reality Czech pilsner and it was, frankly, no contest. Summerfest is just too cereal-y with a discordant hop bitterness to me. It tastes like an over hopped helles.

I can understand why people like it and it's not a bad beer with some offensive off flavors, but it's just not for me. I'm gonna try to find a similar age scrimshaw for another comparison before this 6 pack is done.

Apparently my 6 weeks old is when SN seasonals become regularly avaliable in my area now, also. I'd say that means SN needs to do some figuring. Especially if they want to stay focused on hop forward beers for seasonals

Reality Czech is the gold standard, or near enough. Of course it costs $16 for a 4 pack of 16 oz cans so factor that in. The local value proposition is Trumer which wins the taste battle as well IMO.

Yup, sure did. Had it Friday night, was really good, just like the cans. Same flavor profile. It was a nice start to my birthday weekend.

Bookended the weekend with an Andech's Maibock on draft last night. If you see this on tap somewhere, GET IT.

I finally found some and drank my first one last night, it is slightly different from the one I remember. I found it a tad more hoppy in taste whereas my memory says it used to be more just hoppy bitter and clean. To me this one is slightly less drinkable because of that, the hops sort of linger.

I have to say though I really loved the herbal/floral notes this one has, which I do not remember as much or as intense in the last Summerfest I had. This one is perfectly aromatic to me and I kept sticking my nose in for more, the whole time I drank it. That same note was present in taste too which made it very pleasant to drink for me.

Just saw them post about Crispy Little Thing and I can't wait to try that. Sound like that and Summerfest would be a solid pairing!

    Facebook?

Just looked at the beers in the pack it's in and don't think I'll be trying it any time soon.

Sunny Little Thing is not for me.

Yeah I'm not buying a Little Thing mix pack just to try one lager. Maybe if someone wants to split it with me...

Gonna have to buy the pack before a BBQ and pull the lagers out

We've moved to Denver (at least for the moment) and a few days ago, after checking the SN beer finder, I found a sixpack hidden at the bottom of a cooler in a rather marginal liquor store, right next to the SN IPA. SN generally does not seem heavily promoted here in Denver: local breweries like Breckenridge, Avery, Odells and even Prost are more prominent. Summerfest is good, but I personally prefer the slightly more aggressive hops in Trumer Pils (Berkeley), also available here after a bit of a search.

I notoriously do this with Sam Adams Winter Packs and pull out the Old Fezzi's.

Earlier in the month I found 12 packs to be plentiful near my parents house in Liberty, NY. I was just there again this past Saturday hoping to get more but there was none to be found :slight_frown:. These were large beverage centers, too, so I assume that if they wanted to restock they would if it was available.

I should have gotten it when I could.

Um, hidden? Marginal? Are you sure it's the current rendition? :grimacing:

Trumer is my go-to Pils and every day beer and I wouldn't call its hops more aggressive than the current SN Summerfest. The Saphir is king in the Summerfest.

    12-packs? They're packaging it that way?

 Unseen around here so far.
