you can grab a 12 pack of Summerfest for 5 dollars more than the 4pack of Moonlight Czech which i think is insane value.

 

It would be sweet to see Moonlight put at least d&t and reality Czech in 12x12s for a decent price

Glad to see Norcal Enegren love! Hop Grenade in Concord had Elixir Pils on tap, and cans/6ers in the cooler on Saturday.

 

Ale Arsenal in San Carlos regularly gets Enegren too.

 

Enegren pops up once in a while at Bay Area Trader Joe’s. Usually the Lightest One and Valkyrie, and no seeming rhyme or reason to when it happens.

 

Another good one from Enegren. EDEL-PILS. Light and hoppy on a hot day.

I just encountered Lagunita's Pils on tap at a tiny podunk country store. It's nice on a hot day spent loading a moving a truck. Haven't seen any sign of this beer in years. Very random and very welcome

 

I saw they had it on tap in Petaluma . i Almost made the drive there, but no Willettized or Gnarlywine .

On another note i got this enjoyable Schwarzbier at Ghost Town Laurel and killed it over the span of an hour or so . Recommended if you go there
( yes i drank it walkin round Oakland for a bit then went up to Berkeley for a hike)

 

Not california brewed but should be widely available in at least northern California, Bochi Bochi rice lager from Crux up in Bend is a super nice light lager. Great flavor, super crisp and clean, under 5%, and 10.99 for a 6x12 in my neighborhood have made it a staple in my fridge. It helps that they've been doing a great job of keeping things fresh locally.

Also, I've been digging Trumer Pils a lot lately. The latest batch I got is even getting a little older than I'd usually go for (BB date is late August, don't really know their time frame but I think it's around 6 months) and the skunk is creeping in from the green bottles but it honestly might be enhancing the overall flavor. Just a nice sharp flavored pils. And again, a nice price at around 10.99 a sixer

 

Been awhile. Picked up a 6 pack of Trumer Pils myself with the hotter weather last weekend.
