    I was surprised how few beers were available at Highrail and as we were leaving we overheard folks saying that the brewery is closing and tomorrow is the last day. Sad because it’s a cool little spot. So I’m glad we stopped in one last time - albeit unintentionally.

    A generally nice, easy drinking ale providing a fine, easy cereal grain base flavor with a pleasant mineral undertone. The hop bitterness is way in the background yet provides some balance to the delicate malt presence.

    Undeath mosh pit, then the baby. Moshing with severe brusing from yesterday was painful, but necessary. There is a long way to go.

    Just got back into Western NC after a very enjoyable week in West Virginia. After 400 plus miles of driving, thought an imperial stout will help relax me after driving the notroious I-26 thru Asheville south to Henderson County. Yep, it is helping!

    Giant Moves Imperial Amber Ale. I guess this is some sort of a partnership between the brewery (Workhorse Brewing) and the grocery store (Giant). Beer's pretty tasty. Grilling soon...Cheers!
