Glad you can enjoy Burial up in PA! It is dangerous for me given it is a 35-minute drive to make a beer run. Very convient for all the trading i have done in the last year or so.
Thanks for including pics of Max and keep them coming! Da Boss and i miss out cats who both recently passed in the last couple of years. We travel too much throughout the year to adopt a new crew given our guilt factor is too much to handle when we head out on the road.

Two unbeatable beers. I still give the nod to Pliny…my friend’s first BP and he preferred Pliny. Having a great afternoon sitting on the porch…sunny, low 60s, and breezy…drinking and looking at the mountains. Cheers from the Front Range!

PS: i know about threats of blowing up beer budgets. I just spent over $200 at Jackie O's while vacationing in West Virginia last week. Da Boss said something along the lines that my beer budget is exhausted for 2023 LOL!

I"m dive bar hopping today. Fitting, while I'm reading some Larry McMurtry. One of my favorite writers, finally found his last two books that concluded the Duane Moore story. You guys have at least heard of or seen the movie/book The Last Picture Show. Both are masterpieces. This is the fourth book in that series, and I have the last coming up next ha.

First bar up, one of the older bars in my neighborhood. At The Shiloh Club. Saint Arnold Art Car IPA in the glass...dive bars don't have to be just all the macro crap ha. Shiloh Club has been open since 1971.



Then up to Heights Drive Inn, been around in one form or another for 30 years. Live Oak Hefe in the glass.



It is national burger day, so on down the road to The Post. Its a new comer, but still fits in with the dive bar crowd. More a corner bar, but nobody in Houston really knows what that is ha. Anyway...

Saint Arnold Lawnmower Kolsch style. Really underrated. One of the better smash burgers around.


I'll be continuing my dive bar sojourner tonight. A classic old live venue called Dan Elector's. A friend of mine is playing there later...So maybe LNBA posts from me ha.

 

Trillium Big Bird DIPA, exquisite with six weeks on it. Pretty decent head retention, too, which Trillium had been struggling with for a long time.

 

Lol. Didn't even know that was a thing! May have to try that out at the kids ballgames. Cheers!
