I don’t mind a coffee ipa every once in a while, and mango in an ipa definitely works if done correctly - ie, sure bet.

I enjoy BHA every year I've ever bought it. Including last year.

I didn’t love it last year. Seemed like it just wasn’t up to its usual standard, but I’m in for at least one four-pack anyway.

Hmm. Looking back at last year’s thread there is no mention of BHA being not up to par. All the comments are positive. Ya’ll have to post your thoughts on this year after trying it.

Vallejo is the best I can remember.

my guess… a perfect amount of super fruity simcoe resin, it melds into Nelson perfectly. I’ve enjoyed all batches since its return, but this years really does it for me. Multiple 4pks will be purchased in the near future.

If Firestone Walker simplified their Hopnosis recipe and just did Simcoe/Nelson, this is what it would taste like.

Beer Hates astronauts ain’t to shabby itself. Also a stunner this year. Price point is higher, so a few cans is all, but it’s as good as ever. Vallejo will get most of my ipa money this month

No, I don’t know if it’s hitting distro. Probably just out of balmoral.

What on gods green earth has happened to the food at Half Acre? Remember having a great smash burger and chicken sandwich back a year ago. Went today and the burger was like cafeteria/Sysco Food-style garbage. Chicken sandwich had no flavor. On top of that pretty abysmal service. Server couldn’t give a shit we were there, never asked how the food was, no goodbye after plopping down the check. Really uncharacteristic of a brewery that makes solid beers.

World of Bog and Sickle Through Sable* were available in 2 packs at Half Acre on Sunday. Copped some Bog!

*I think. It may have been Before Land Shook.

Don't get to drink HA stuff all that often, but am currently in Chicago, hanging out in the United club. Very pleased to find that they have Daisey Cutter on tap here (along with several other interesting options - zombie dust and gumball, for example).

Overall, I'm very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beer and wine selection at the O'Hare United Club.

We are excited to watch the local news tonight to see if you moderately enjoyed them or found them irresistible to not overindulge in and to what extreme- viral video cursing at other passengers, put in seat restraints by fight attendants, or the highest honor of good beer- opened the emergency exit and went down the slide while giving the pilots the double bird salute.

Smoking Gull might be the best beer Half Acre makes, which puts it running for the best beer in Chicago.

last years batch was, in my eyes, genuinely perfect modern pale ale. The aroma, texture, flavor, drinkability were all a 10

Anyone seen Smoking Gull in distribution yet? Would love to check in on an old friend and haven’t had a chance to hit Balmoral recently.

instagram says available at Balmoral and draft distro in Philly.

Not sure if that means it’s brewery only or not this year, but that would be a bummer.
