    That’s a neat picture indeed, and those shoes are about similar as those I have drawn this am, those kind of boots that turn your feet into a bloody mess if you’re like me silly enough to use them before a long hike right after buying them.

    1) Utepils Pils (5.0%):     A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of lemon citrus, German yeast, bread dough. Full-bodied, yet clean and dry.
    versus
    2) Angry Chair Vodnik (5.6%): A Czech Pils from Florida with flavors of lemon bread, pale and lightly buttery bread malts. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Angry Chair Vodnik:     Czech Pils battle. Utepils makes great German beer and this is a standard Czech Pils brewed to style. First beer from Angry Chair for me. It's a little bit bigger with some great lemon bread and lightly buttery flavors. Leans heavier and sweeter. Utepils is good, but I've never thought this pils was their finest work. Angry Chair had more flavor and was better all-around.

    Angry Chair makes some surprisingly good beers that are much more traditional in nature than the usual pastry stuff they're known for. Vodnik is a local favorite.

    Good afternoon, BAs! Super slow day for a Thirsty Thursday!

    We spent lunch out at a close friend's kid's school. She's a high school senior, and part of her program is working as a chef-in-training (she's been accepted into a renowned culinary college) at the school. During the year, they are open for limited seating, so you can go enjoy the weekly-rotating menu and see how the kids are doing. It's not pricey at all, and it's super cool - and it supports them.

    Since we were farther afield than we normally travel, we hit up Tilted Barn brewery post-lunch for a few drinks.

    New-to-me place, but when I'm going that "far" East, I'll definitely make a concerted effort to go back. Very, very good beer, and while today was pretty hot, it's a nice place to sit outside while enjoying a couple beers. :slight_smile:
