Won't Back Down oatmeal imperial porter(?) from New Hampshire's Deciduous. Not sure if I like it or not, but I'll proceed with my research.

I've heard they call NH "the South of the North."

 

Got some mix packs and a few other goodies for the weekend, it's gonna be a hot one!

 

Madewest IPA for Raul:

 

Big Hammock Brewing Rainbow Snake IPA.......

 

1) Browar Staropolskie Chmielne (5.5%): A European Export from Poland with flavors of orange citrus, tea, flower, and smooth honey. Heavy and sweet.
versus
2) Augustiner Brau Edelstoff (5.7%): A European Export from Germany with flavors of cracker, grains, light honeysuckle. Crisp and clean. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Augustiner Brau Edelstoff: European Export Battle, ranked #39 vs #10 on Beer Advocate. First try and Staropolskie. It's big and hoppy. Citrus, tea, and flower with a sweet honey finish. Big and a bit too sweet for my liking. Edelstoff gets the win. Cracker, grains, with a light honey note. Very pleasant and clean.

 

Gonna have to drink this fast. Still 91 degrees out here. Great warm weather beer though-Sierra Nevada Summerfest. Cheers!

So, the whole impetus for running the circuit this year is to bypass the 2024 MWRR lottery.
I've registered 5 different years over the past decade for Mt Washington, and only was selected once, last year. Must get back there.
