    Lupulin Cake Dreams Chocolate Covered Cherry Imperial Stout, 10% ABV. Pours black with a ring of bubbles that left slight lacing. Aroma is cherry and chocolate. Taste is cherry and slight chocolate, barely sweet, slightly bitter. OK mouthfeel, overall meh. Disappointing for a beer that sounds like a pastry stout. No cake taste at all.

    Crystal-clear golden body; well-distributed carbonation bubbles; thick head, dense, frothy, semi-creamy. Outstanding aroma; light malt backbone with a citrus and spicy hop overtone; light pine sap. The taste amps up the aroma characteristics; honey-like malt taste; citrus and pine flavors; moderate overall bitterness. Heavy body; beautiful residual sugar stickiness; delicate coarseness on the palate.

    This is just a beautiful beer. The can label partially states: 'Exceptionally Aromatic' -- I cannot argue this point. Now, I need to track down a fresher version...

    ...a few tracks from a mix tape I made for my wife while stationed at Osan AB, Korea back in 2001...

    @BEERchitect ’s comments that the light maple finish is like saying Death Valley has a light warmth is spot on. This smells and tastes like fresh maple syrup. Perhaps a bit too heavy for this 87 degree day, but I could see this as an autumn warmer.
