Daughter’s last day of school, my first day back in the office. Bought the Jack today. Haven’t had a Sip in forever. Thanks @DanPing!

I have 2 Willows tree in my yard between them & the damn starlings that roost in them trees it is a wonder I haven't cut them down, plus it kills the grass

 

Yet another week from hell finally over. Time for a beer.

 

No beer in this photo, but a shot of the finished yakisugi pallet potting bench I made. I went full alligator skin on the uprights and light flame in the middle that gave it a sort of sunburst vibe, and finished the main table in a nice translucent moss green with semi-gloss coating. It’s still a hack job, but I like it! The shelf slats on the bottom come off for additional planting space. I might try selling a couple of these for beer money!

A few years back, we had a 60ish footer Willow get hit by lightning, and down she came, wiping out a myriad trees around it. That’s the last monster tree in back from “The Wick” left to buck, but it’s a good 40” across. I’m surprised how light the wood is once it dries though.

 

My bad. Transitioned to wine. No pic of course. Wife ordered some food delivery. Curious what I ordered.

Beer stock is very low. I see a Veil brewery run in my near future.

 

Now I have a hobby if I ever retire. LOL!

Hey all, enjoying a Fat Heads - Hop Honcho Imperial IPA. Light caramel, tropical fruit, orange and grapefruit rind with a dank earthy bitter finish. Another home run from Fat Heads Brewery. The Buccos are getting their arse kicked by the Cardinals in the burgh tonight. I’m hoping for a miraculous comeback.

I have not had a Sip of Sunshine like forever. Bless those that sent me some. Love Jack. You got my approval for what that is worth.

 

Tell them to reprise Thee Barleywine. That was a monster brew. 13% aged in Jim Beam barrels. Sublime.

 

It is my friend. Still recovering from the bad shit that got me down for two weeks. I probably could have consumed another pint of an IPA but hell went for more octane.

 

The bench looks great! Nice job.

Great band. I love them. One of the greatest supergroups no one seems to know about.

 

Ours fell against the neighbor’s fence. Thankfully, no damage for them, but I did go clear the debris on their side. I learned a LOT about safe chainsawing that year, like you better know which way the pressure is when cutting so you don’t get your saw stuck or your head ripped off.
