Very floral, with the mixed fermentation coming through strongly. The honey is more apparent in aroma, against lemon, than the flavor. Mild oak. I’m going to finish the bottle with an intensely sharp cheddar.

Nice dry beer with a balance of moderate sourness/bitterness and tart notes. faint skunkiness is overpowered by green apple. Long dusty finish. An excellent choice for a calm afternoon out in the perfect weather.

Poured from a 750mL bottle into my Unibroue tulip.

Unclear aureolin body with a thin smattering of large bubbles up top. Vague, soapy lacing; mediocre retention.

Bright aromatics suggest citrus, gooseberry, Brett. laced peppery funk, and dry white wine. Balanced and inviting.

Tart lemon kissed palate entry with kiwi, pineapple vinegar, and white grapes coming through. Moderate grassy/tropical bitterness throughout, with a touch of wildflowers playing off the intense wave of wild barnyard notes. Goaty, with hints of raw pu-erh. Finishes medium-dry, with some zesty minerality.

Thin, slick, with very little carbonation (closer to a lambic than a saison).

Superior aroma and potent flavor, but poor bottle conditioning for this batch.

Pours a slightly cloudy, pale straw coloration with a large, fluffy, lasting head. Smells of doughy malt and spicy esters, as well as both estery and hoppy fruit notes of apple, apricot and papaya.

Taste is a great balance of doughy malt and fruity and spicy hops and esters, with notes of green apple, apricot, papaya and lemongrass, as well as some clove and nutmeg, with hints of grassy accents too. Finishes with a light tartness and bitterness, as well as some green apple, papaya and clove lingering in the aftertaste. Effervescent mouthfeel with a light body and medium/strong carbonation.

This makes for a very nice, modern saison with a great balance of esters and hops, feeling very crisp and refreshing, with a great carbonation and mouthfeel as well. I really like the mix of spicy esters and both estery and hoppy fruity notes here, with a strong, zesty and grassy lemongrass presence, finishing both tart and bitter. Overall, this makes for a very easy-drinking, yet flavorfull summer beer that I found rather enjoyable and makes me sad that I have so few beers left from this brewery.

Competitive Walking from Atwood Farm Brewery in Blaine, Washington. Sun about to set at 9 p.m. in northern WA. -- Highly drinkable and restrained but flavorful. One of the better Saisons I've had lately.

Took a break from drinking for about a month and fell off the wagon with a Jolly Pumpkin IO. Been years since I had anything from them and it's every bit as good as I remember them being. Delicate without sacrificing flavor or complexity. Intriguing flavors, great tartness. Bang.

Foam Brewing Saison De Foam: This absolutely hit the spot after mowing the lawn today. Abv is perfect at 4.5%, crisp and clean, dry and subtlety tart from the yeast. Endlessly drinkable.

Poured from a 750mL bottle into my Unibroue tulip.

Bright, clear, pale straw/vanilla liquid supports a fat finger of dense ivory soft peaks. Cakey/sandy lacing; excellent retention.

Crisp malty aromatics with gentle earthy/spicy/herbal yeast and hop notes.

Wheat, lemon-lime, quince, and unripe plum on the palate. Low - mild bitterness. Tart with a hint of white wine vinegar and rock sugar. Faintly peppery, but not real funk. Finishes dry and zesty.

Light bodied, well carbonated, lightly tannic, and very refreshing.

A wonderful table beer to accompany a light lunch on a hot day.

Enjoying a unique take on the classic Saison. A friend of mine picked this up at the brewery last December, a seasonal brewed with squash and spiced with tumeric, cinnamon, peppercorn, and coriander. This is really well done. While the squash does not impart a unique flavor, the spices are deftly woven into the recipe. The body is very light despite the 8.2 abv making this a refreshing flavorful sipper.
    Cheers!

Saison Dupont - This iconic Belgian one that maybe has penned the style, though I enjoy plenty others farmhouse ale.

Finishing up the bottle from yesterday evening… what a delight, such a well crafted brew:

We have been getting brown bottles, of Saison DuPont, recently. Does anyone know if they converted? Maybe there was a green bottle shortage?

This was a nice suprise. A light, dry Saison style with orange and pineapple notes. Added coriander for spicy notes. Mild on the funkiness. Very dinkable, refreshing Saison for a hot humid GA afternoon. Glad I took a flyer on it!

Was there always 330 ml capped bottles? My brain seems to recall 375ml corked/caged grwen bottles in addition to the 750ml ones.

Drinking one now, cross posted from the Belgian beer thread.
