    1) Phase 3 DDH Pixel Density (8.0% canned 4/14/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with DDH Citra Cryo for flavors of ripe orange, papaya, melon. Juicy, tropical, sweet, and smooth.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue (7.8% canned 5/25/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with DDH Citra for flavors of bright orange citrus, lemonflower, pineapple, and fresh mango. A hoppy bite and finishes clean. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) TG DDH King Sue
: Top-shelf DDH Citra Haze battle. DDH King Sue is a treat, especially when fresh. This is as fresh as it comes. Intense orange and lemon citrus, flower, fresh pineapple and mango. Packs a bite and the hop flavors quickly fade for a clean, dry finish. Phase 3 isn't as fresh, but it's also nothing less than fantastic. One month older so a bit refined and more smooth. Leans a bit sweeter. I prefer some of these hoppy ones to age about a month which settles them out just a bit. Phase 3 drinks easier and more balanced for an IPA right now. The DDH King sue has a bite. There's only 1-2 times a year when you can find the DDH King this fresh. Now is one of those times.

Yeah... nice to see local BA @beergoot out and about.

Got in another 8+ miles this morning, mostly EZ with some uphill 30 sec strides (ouch). Knee is still a bit funny after that 100k ****le but fading... which is most welcome. Need to be 100% by late next week for Leadville 100 RunCamp. Great fun...

Another UA/NA Ital Pils (for now? for today?). Those two biggies last night hit hard but I was able to sleep well, shockingly.

    Cheers!

Enjoying a Tripel from a local Western NC brewer, a style difficult to execute for American brewers. This one drinks more like the blonde style with a heavier body and sweeter finish.
Listening to some Genesis this afternoon.
    Cheers!

...I've been a slug since Sheboygan...no gym, no bicycle riding, no stretching or range of motion exercises...things needed to change...a beautiful Front Range day to be out (as you'll attest to)...

Surly Before I Die (5.0%): An American Lager from Minnesota with flavors of pale malts, dry grains and bread, yeast with a clean, dry finish.

For an American Lager pretty good. Pours beautifully. Focuses on the malts as expected so not as much from the aroma. Picks up on the flavors with dry grains and bread yeast. Simple, yet good flavors and without any adjuncts. This really shines with the mouthfeel. Yeasty and full on the mouthfeel, yet light and dry. For a clean lager, very good. I do love their German lagers, but this was a nice change of pace from all the fruity ones Surly has been making lately.

LOL, too funny Dave @beergoot ! If i did not have my adult supervision along on my hikes, i would be channeling my inner @M-Fox24 and tipping a can and posting awesome pictures like you guys do!
Love Outer Range, got to experience their stuff when we road tripped it from PHX to Vail in the summer of 2018. Just curious, have you seen "Mom Jeans", a TIPA from an Outer Range and Aslin collaboration? A friend picked me up some in Virginia recently and i found it good but not great and definitely not the Outer Range style at all as it was heavy WCDIPA old school style, weighing in at 12%.
    Cheers!

That's a great Weissbier. My overall favorite and very happy I can get it at a store real close to me here in North GA. Excellent choice!
