Bet it won't be long before Notch does a Smoked Rotbier (since they already do a Rotbier and make multiple smoked beers in different styles).

I'm definitely down for one or a few if it shows up in my area!
I love their Bocks, Mai & Dopple.
Great beer to have with grilled meats.

Haven't been this excited for a new beer release in months.

Also, @Todd time to get ahead of the trend and add Rotbier as a style on BA.

A good beer to discuss this weekend in the NBW thread.

    Cheers!

I'm stopping by the one shop that gets Schlenkerla on the way home to make sure he's aware of this one. Sounds like a nice treat for this time of year

Does anyone know why Schlenkerla is translating Bier as Lager?

Very cool. I'll be seeking this out. I have a lot of cherry firewood so it'll be interesting to get a sense of that smoke in Rotbier.

I'm sorry, the Urbock is what I was thinking of.

Very cool. Only had a couple rotbiers (or at least beers labeled as such), but have enjoyed them. Plus, I really like cherry wood smoke. A few places around here have made cherry smoked beers and they've been great. Hopefully this beer makes it out here eventually.

One of the Bamberg breweries had a Maibock when I visited some years ago -- sorry that I can't recall which one.
