    Hi guys,
So I have a question. I'm on the look for a beer name, of which I have the bottle cap images (logo). Could you help please?
*Those 2 (in fact just 1 beer type but perhaps 2 diff. issues) which would seem to have...like a bunch of bananas (??) as a logo, one is yellow on a green background, the other white on a blue background.
    Thanks so much!

    well it's a crop.
but if you want the big pic, i'm afraid i'll be cracking some people's nerves.
    My apologies!
if you want it, i can pm it to ya. but it won't help, cause even if the big one is a 2k or sumthn... zooming in will take you back here.
    thanks

I don't want a special picture sent to me, but if you're asking people to ID a picture you're going to have better luck sharing an actually visible picture. Maybe someone can determine what's going on in you picture. Hopefully they'll share their thoughts with you. But I, a fairly young person with generally good vision, can't see what you're asking for. I'm guessing many others can't ether

To clarify: this is solely for a guitar repro. project. I'm not in the possession of the guitar itself, instead I can only rely on pics. Pics that aren't of extraordinary good quality, my apologies for that.
Well my grumpy lads, i looked a bit below and found a slightly better example of the "bananas"...
*Edit: a better pic would mean that the writing becomes understandable, in which case i guess everyone can assume i wouldn't be writing my mumbo jumbo.

The tan-ish ones bring to my mind Ballantine Beer crowns, but the "3 Rings" logo looks bigger and the text smaller than the typical one found via a Google Image search, like this one:
But, of course, Ballantine used numerous crown designs over the decades, as did Falstaff which bought the brand in the early 1970s and continued to brew it into the 1990s.

The same 2 breweries used different crowns for its Ballantine XXX Ale, but they would have been green not blue.

I guess I was inspired to play detective on this one. I should be getting paid for this. One issue is that it seems like there are lots of pics online of other people's reproductions of this guitar, and they obviously aren't totally (or partially) faithful to the source guitar caps. One needs to figure out if they are looking at a repro... and most of the pics of the Wylde guitar are not very revealing. Which begs the question - If you can't actually determine the bottle caps based on the info that's out there, then why would a repro need to be faithful to this (in anything other than spirit)?

I think that these 2 pics are of the real guitar (apologies to anybody bothered by the paint job) and are the best for ID purposes for that area:

I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that the green cap in that area could be Samuel Adams Double Bock, and the similar blue caps near the pickup could be Samuel Adams Boston Lager from the same era. It's worth mentioning that there are multiple versions of all of these caps and they will differ from different eras. The yellow caps in that area do appear to be Dundee's - not the ones from the first link from @riptorn , but the one from the second link on flickr (although Ballantine was my instant thought @jesskidden ). It looks like the blue and red caps near the 1999 Bigfoot cap are different versions of Samuel Adams Boston Lager - these being the "best beer in America" ones.

Ya know, I glanced at this thread's title this morning and thought, "Ah, should I just (finally) post the snarky comment I was gonna make about that item? You know, ask, ' Who TF would do that?'. "

Did I mean destroying those crowns or the guitar? Both, I guess. But I didn't.

Never heard of the guitarist. I did see - for free and very briefly - the band Black Sabbath - the concert was about 50' from my dorm, so I walked over and quickly walked away. I think we heard it anyway. But Zakk was only 3 at the time, so I guess he wasn't there.

And I grew up only a few townships away from Jackson, NJ - (not, AFAIK, named after Stonewall). It was damn rural and rednecky then - and could be scary for a "long haired kid" when my best friend's family moved down there to a trailer park in the late 1960s. :grimacing: (Before Great Adventure made the town infamous for another reason).

So, it was only in zid's image above I see the flag that acts as the centerpiece of this piece of... ah, whatever. So, to counteract that:
The Bottle Rockets (from the border state of Missouri).

    And Mr. Zevon:

    Steve Earle:

Zakk Wylde? My first thought was Peter Stampfel (Peter Stampfel and the Bottle Caps, The Holy Modal Rounders, the Fugs). I assume the background design was meant to be ironic.

Although i gotta ask about a pic of a green Sam Adams Double Bock (if it's a Double Bock), because i could only find it in black, like the one you showed here.
Edit: could it be that it's turned green because of grime?

You're probably right. I think the colors in the pic I posted threw me off (it looked greenish). It could be their "Honey Porter" (which was green), but I haven't seen a cap of that with a layout that looks like the one on the guitar.

OK, I did some digging in a cap database and found the Honey Porter cap in that same layout. I take back the Double Bock idea. I think this might be your green cap:
