Lol, yeah. The whole event sounds a bit odd.

 

Can anyone who has been to this event in prior years offer some insight into what some of the beers were like? My guess is it's probably your standard year round beers from brewers with some sort of additive added to the firkin to make it a one off like fruit or chocolate...

 

Oath Day in Naperville June 10th. Change of pace this year, as it’ll be unticketed for the first Food trucks, ax throwing and other games, special tappings ect. Usually a good time

Toast to the trees at the Summer on Tap festival, The Morton Arboretum’s newest summertime event. Sip beers, ciders, and meads from popular local Illinois breweries, and enjoy a variety of seltzers and ready-to-drink cocktails. Stroll along the Arboretum’s Meadow Lake and walk through nearby wooded trails while stopping at tasting booths along the way. Each ticket includes 20 3-oz. samples, with many varieties to choose from.

I will be there on Saturday close to the start time...

 

A fest in the Ravenwoods neighborhood featuring the Malt Row strip in the North Center neighborhood which feature some brewers from the Bowmanville neighborhood…the marketing is reaching a bit, but looks like a nice street fest.

 

No, but looking at the details, I’m highly intrigued by a female Beastie Boys tribute band.

 

Chicago Beer Society’s Hazy Days 4 is coming up next Saturday.

 

Anyone heading to Flipside Brewery 1yr anniversary party in Tinley? We just walked in.

Was at Mikerphone earlier for the BA Bean Spirit party with the guest taps. Got to try Double Barrel Rye Assassin before they ran out and that was pretty delicious. The stuff I had from Forager was also very good, as was BA Bean Spirit. However, I got the set of 4 Bean Spirit variants and am currently drinking the Single Barrel, and, well...yikes. That absinthe barrel did this beer no favors. It's like someone made a Jager bomb using SLBS instead of redbull. Hard pass on this one.

 

But you got to try Double Barrel Rye Assasin…
