Good Sunday afternoon, Advocates. Crazy, changeable weather today. It was raining hard a short while ago but it appears the sun is now out. I'm trying a BA Stout, Respectfully, that I bought at Hudson Valley Brewery yesterday. It's aged for 22 months in Hillrock, Weller, and Blanton's whiskey barrels. Wowza, this is good! I just reviewed it on the NBW thread and gave it a 4.62. I'd like to send a truck up there to pick up a few cases. Cheers!

It got to 27 degrees Celsius outside
But 31c in the room I work from home in
We got a 15 min storm in Manchester
    I’ve got it down for 25 & a half

So I reckon this the most refreshing beer that I have in

Sly Fox Bohemian Gold. This is a really solid brew. A lot more going on here than the 3.9% abv would indicate. Cheers!

Too bad for the cub and for nature in your neck of the woods. Given that we have around 9000 here in Western NC you occasional hear of accounts of a black bear coming out of nowhere and being hit on I-26. Crazy for sure!

    NBS cross-post.
    Time for another!
    Green Ritual DIPA
A collab between Widowmaker and Other Half.
Pours a turbid pale orange like peach or pear nectar. Very nice large white head with lots of lacing.
Peach juice, passionfruit, mango and orange on the nose.
Taste is fruit salad with creamy orange dominating up front than stonefruit middle, tropical fruit finish ending with perfect bitterness that balances the sweetness but doesn't linger. But the flavor does.
Full bodied, very soft pillowy feel, creamy,
Finishes quite dry and hop tangy.
Damn good beer here to me.
This is a perfect example of the hazy style. What I mean is this might be one that a hazy hater might even enjoy.
    Cheers![IMG]

That's awesome. The moms and fawns usually come out in the early morning around here. It's funny to see the babies running around like nuts while the grown-ups are eating. Every once in a while the adults will join in with the fun and run with the kiddos. It's a lot like us humans haha. Cheers!

They all bring something different to the table - of course i do have favorites amongst them :sunglasses:

Probably my overall favorite is my PRS 20th Anniversary guitar - that guitar can cover any style of music, it's really versatile and gorgeous as well.

That's interesting. I figured you had probably at least a dozen. It amazes me folks like you who can get something different out of so many of the "same' instruments. Seems likes trumpets and saxes are different. Musicians seem to have one they love and play the hell out of it. At least, seems so.

I love watching them, except they keep eating my flowers and some wild grasses I transplanted.

There's a ton of variables that all contribute to the uniqueness - the woods used, the scale length, the electronics, the neck thickness, the type of wood used for the fretboard, and more ...

I don't know what makes a particular sax unique, but I know some sax players and they all prefer vintage instruments.

Orval, one of the best. Bottled on 7/7/2022, and right at a year is my sweet spot for this one.

Joe Lovano spinning. His great new album with Dave Douglas, and artwork by Dave Chisholm (who is some kind of comic book guy, but I don't know, though the art work is definitely comic booky ha).
