A flight tasting before I go to the hotel…Day 58, brewery number 57, Iron Hill Brewery:



Three NE style hazies and a milkshake IPA. The milkshake was nice…the hazies were not for me - astringent hop burn with a dusty dry feel I associate with Cryo…I did drink their Am. style IPA which was more to my liking…Cheers from Columbia, SC!

 

Man I remember trying this like 4 years ago in a Fall Variety pack with Tumbler Autumn Brown Ale (Sierra Nevada please make a fall pack this year 6 varieties 2 of each beer and have one of them be Tumbler) .

 

Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, an underrated APA from Central Waters, and probably it for me this weekend, it’s been a good one. Cheers, BAs!

My giant cheeseburger and Pale Ale made me take a power nap! Back in the ring to take another swing with Luce Line Little 500 Rice Lager. Nice and light and brewed 2 miles away. Nucleated glass really helps this one out as its feel is kind of muted otherwise. Cheers!

 

Fantastic! Ystrdy I got to share a 2013 Bigfoot with a few Advocates and it was phenomenal. Cheers to your 2010!

 

Had my first Heady Topper tonight! On Long Island for a conference and found a local spot that had some interesting beers. Heady is definitely a treat and a unique IPA!

 

Supper beer is a Tree House Super Treat and it's amazing! The wife whipped up an asian salad with fresh grilled Ahi tuna, can't wait to dig in. Cheers to the FL Gators, 1 win away from being the college world series champs.

 

The beer probably needs no introduction.

I might catch heat but IDC. At first I thought HT was to die for. 2nd time was good but just above mediocre. I could say the same for pte to. I'm being a hater I know! I'm a picky mfer when it comes to hops. I think Focal and Blind Pig is just as good or better.
