Hello mates! Thanx @EdmundExley for exleyllently opening 3901. I saw in my beery notes this morning two place phtogs that are near me. So I hopped on my trusty, krusty and moderately rusty mountain bike and got in 8.5 miles, which is nothing except it was all playing in traffic. Yuck. But I got the pix. Ready as hell for a beer. Take 16 Kick The Can IPA. A damn good Minnesota-made WCIPA that's a wee bit creamy & fairly resinous. Cheers!!

Figured someone would notice that,giving up the filet is the cost of a happy marriage. Plus she won't eat fish so it works out

 

Finally a cloudy and cool day. Nice breeze and not even supposed to hit 80°. Grocery shopping, a walk, and yardwork are all in the books, time to relax on the deck with a cold one. Surly Before I Die Lager. Cheers!

 

1) Rothaus Tannenzapfle (5.1%): An authentic German Pilsner with flavors of spicy and grainy pale malts. Clean and crisp.
versus
2) Ayinger Pilsner (5.3%): An German pilsner with flavors of grassy, German hops, smooth bready pale malts. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Winner:
2) Ayinger Pilsner: German Pilsner Battle and two of the greats. Rothaus is pretty good. Spicy and grainy with a bite. Ayinger is a bit better in my opinion. More hop flavors and soft breadiness. One of a kind pilsner.

 

Duvel Tripel Hop Citra. Not sure about the glass, should be squeaky clean ... Triple hop is somewhat hazy, but I see some strange swirls. Good excuse to have another try later this week
