    Good morning!

Drinking plain Jane regular Leffe Blonde… as I mentioned in this summer thread, anything yellow, medium range ABV should be my go to this summer.

    Cheers!

Back in the day, I was posting tons of country music tunes, including this one. Layce Withworth is an artist from Idaho.

Another early morning here, civil twilight just peaking through at this stage. Talking bitter beers / stouts with Le @Resistance88 , and my 1A Chicago Brewery would fit the bill across many styles right in my wheelhouse. This is one of several of my favorites.

    Spiteful God Damn Pigeon Porter

Will make it through the entire overnight WDCB set, covered by Paul Abella this week. Here are two of my favorites from this morning.

    Milwaukee Native Al Jarreau

John Scofield, Born in Dayton, Ohio, raised in Connecticut.

Playing catch up from last nights Houston exploits. I went to see Asteroid City last night. The first time I have actually gone to see a new movie in a theater in I don't know how long. It has probably been 10 years ha.

First a stop off at a place called Winnie's

For a Saint Arnold Banger IPA, shrimp po boy and gumbo.

Then next door to Double Trouble, a unique coffee and cocktail spot.

Its hot as hell out, so needed a frozen Paloma ha.

Then on over to the movie. This was being played at a place called MATCH. Which is a non profit arts and theater house. I usually go to see live music here, but on occasion they do things like plays, and tonight Wes Anderson's new movie Asteroid City. Anderson is from Houston, and his new movie has been a pretty big deal around here. Oh, and he is one of my favorite directors. This was billed as a "Cinephile Soiree" ha. There was an open bar, fancy charcuterie, a concert before hand, and a pre recorded introduction from Anderson ha. It was also a sold out packed house, and a lot of fun.

Kelly Doyle was playing, think he has added some songs to Andersons movies in the past.

Anyway, the movie was 100 percent brilliant.

Good day BAs! Thanks, @EdmundExley, for starting today's thread - glad to see you're over you CW affliction!
Off to yet another rainy day here in drought-warned NW PA - It's rained several times a day for a week now, but the state gov't apparatchiks have us restricting water useage - my yard's so mushy I can barely remain upright when trying to walk to the drowning garden - at least I may have a good algae crop this year.
Today's New Breakfast Beer, billions of thanks to @2beerdogs and NBW BIF 17:

Very good English Barleywine aged seven (Count 'em - 7!) years in St.George Spirits Whiskey Barrels. This is certainly better than the highly touted BCBS series - unfortunately, I suspect, it's produced on a much smaller scale. I had to look up St. George Spirits and was thrilled to find they produce an absinthe - whether I can get it delivered to my house is questionable but they do deliver to the PA Game Commission office five miles away...
So...thanks Derek for the exceptional English Barleywine! I love it! Rating 4.38, rDev +3.1%

I didn’t but like Beer-Panda said I’m not sure why they are watering it down. It’s a good beer. A beer for almost everyday or a bigger party.
