Howdy BAs! Thanks again @EdmundExley for the thread here. Just returned from a very pleasant 18.5 mile bike ride out the 60 mile Luce Line Trail & back. 8.5 paved and 10.0 gravel. Rode balls to the wall to the turn around point then stopped for pix here & there on the way back. Feels good. Almost as good as this Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. Prosit! **BTW Luce Line Brewery opens their doors in 2hr 15min. I couldn't wait that long

Got our usual morning hike in - visited the local Goodwill store and found a few more beer glasses ! Haha.....like I really need more!

1) BlackStack We’re Not Waiting (5.2%): A Zwickel from Minnesota with flavors of lemon citrus, yeast, grains.
versus
2) Arcobrau Zwickl (5.2%): A Zwickel from Germany with flavors of pear, apricot, and citrusy yeast and minerals with a soft, bready finish. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
2) Arcobrau Zwickl: German Zwickel battle beers. A great style and beer from BlackStack that has flavors of lemon citrus, with grains to give it a slight bite. Arcobrau is the real deal though. The German yeast imparts a citrus, apricot, and pear flavors. Even some hints of a hefeweizen in this, yet it's cleaner. The yeast and flavors are excellent.

Another lame Duvel pour. Not sure what causes it. Glass was clean. Probably the beer was somewhat shaken. Bought it today.

 

St. Bernardus Wit. Beautiful! Got the matching glass this past winter. My orange patio umbrella falsely shows this beer as orange...and it's not! It's white yellow. Cheers!

 

Agreed, when I lived in Chicago western burbs I bought that several times.

Mowed my oldest daughter's yard. We have our own all day haze here. Poor air quality warnings for today. Great view from my deck of various wires and the haze. Picked up some more 4 packs of 16.9 oz. cans of Pilsner Urquell and Okocim O.K. Beer. $5.99 for Pilsner Urquell and $4.99 for Okocim O.K Beer. Can't find any craft 4 pack options under $9.99 here, most are even $10.99 to $16.99, so it's a great price for 8 beers over 4. Enjoying a Pilsner Urquell now. Cheers!

 

So what's next? That last Wit was groovy. Ummm...Luce Line Little 500 Rice Lager. A really fine beer and better in a nucleated glass.. Cheers folks!
