And of course a special thanks to @GuyFawkes for not buying up all the crowlers of one offs allowing there to be reserves to make this blend.

 

The Tues before the release of the beer they do an online sale. The length of time it lasts is based on supply and demand. This one sounds like it will go fast. The fact they are telling everyone it is limited makes me think it will go fast. DBVSOJ sold out in 5 mins. VSOG is currently still available over a month after release but it also made distro.

Excited about the new Cuvee de Grace, as usual, but then I got to VSOR Select. Ryeway made with piloncillo, aged 27 months in Sazerac, Weller, and Willett barrels? Sign me up, January won't come soon enough.

REVOLUTION BELGIAN BEER POST, PLEASE IGNORE, NO DEEP WOOD CONTENT

A) Just had my last can of A Little Crazy...sad this won't be packaged again. I wish there was more love for Belgian Pale Ales in the US, but I understand their decision here. Can't wait to have it on draft this winter. @ChicagoJ

B) Super rare beer alert: the Taproom shows that Kyle's Not-So-Quiet-Quad is on draft. I believe this was only brewed once, in 2021, before the aforementioned Kyle went to Phase Three. It's a Belgian Quadrupel aged in a single Templeton Rye Caribbean Cask, and if memory serves it's damn great. Assuming I can breathe outside tomorrow, I'll be heading over to have one for sure!

 

The current air quality alert level is: Dune.

 

I just want to give a big thank you to Rev for the return of West Coast Hero! Maybe not the best it’s been (somehow not as “brightly” hoppy as compared to past batches) but the bitterness is there and aggressive and I love it. I don’t drink any of the other Hero beers, but I’d buy a couple 12 packs of West Coast Hero a month if it were offered.

 

Revolution has a mead on draft at the taproom...and it doesn't appear to be a guest tap!

@BeerCruncher -- should we expect more mead or is this a one-off?

 

According to their tap list they have a Second City mead on which they’ve had a few on over the past year. Are you saying they have another not listed?

 

Didn't say Second City on the website...but it appears to be theirs. False alarm!
