I didn't know what the hell cassia bark was and it turns out it's cinnamon. The vanilla takes the drivers seat and i am not getting any cinnamon at all , not mad at that cuz cinnamon is gross [IMG]

Arrived in Rum Point Grand Cayman this afternoon. Back from a 2 hour snorkel with our 7 and 10 year olds. They handled themselves extremely well, very proud dad right now.

Celebrating with this imperial-ish stout. I know this is available domestically now, but I haven't had this since the last time we were in the Caribbean over 10 years ago. Dry, roasty, and refreshing, I've missed this one. Six pack isn't going to last long.

That is definitely my favorite of the non BA versions. Solid stout, always good.

Don't want to be annoying. Well, maybe a bit.

The best beers I have ever drunk were:

    1978 Courage Russian Stout
    1992 Courage Russian Stout
    1993 Courage Russian Stout

    Let alone best Imperial Stouts.

Other than Harvey's Imperial Stout, obviously. The closest you'll get to a 19th-century beer.

My book about London Stout, published when I get around to finishing all those effing recipes, includes loads of Imperials.

I forgot to say: buy my books. Please. I'd quite like to go to Brazil next month.

Bought a few 4 packs when they stated it would be the last year it would be brewed.
Still has the Blis BBA Maple Syrup affecting the flavor and coffees with chocolate. Not sweet enough for a pastry stout but it is certainly an ancestor of them.

Booze and training are not a good mix but a few beers now and then, especially stouts (they have a good deal of vitamin B), is ok.
