I will stick with the theme created by @Braunmeister_1943 in his last two posts: a can of Stone Imperial Stout in my Yeti glass

[IMG] 2023 Bark Lord. Good coffee and cinnamon presence. Not overpowering. Thick but not syrupy. 4/5

Yow! I guess I shouldn’t be complaining about it being in the high eighties with high humidity!

Brewers Notes: Collaboration with Saint Errant; Imperial Stout with Violet Sky Cacao Nibs, Vanilla, Cinnamon, and Graham Crackers aged in Weller Bourbon and Blis Maple Syrup Barrels for 20 months.

Bottle received in bif17 from the overly generous @ovaltine

Chilled bottle poured into a snifter , pitch black motor oil fills the glas with a within wisp of a brown foam layer that quickly fades into the glass

Aroma is bourbon barrel, cinnamon, graham crackers

Taste is is bourbon, cocoa nibs, cinnamon without the heat , gramma crackers, hint of maple , excellent

Smooth , the cinnamon shines thru in the taste without the burn, well crafted, thick, syrupy, smooth

Really good beer, grab it if you can

Stone IRS holds up incredibly well; after all it was modeled after Courage IRS which is known for its long shelf life. I had a 2011 Stone IRS in 2021 after 'aging' it at room temperature for 10 years. It brought out the dark fruits more; the coffee-like roastiness was long gone (that lasts only about a year).

I picked up a whole case when I was stocking up for our Memorial Day party, as it was the only dark beer that my local beer store sold by the whole case (wanted some variety to the other beers I was buying).

Drinking one of the leftovers now. Its a very underrated beer.

It is the only non-BA version of Guinness that I will buy to enjoy. It is really a tasty stout.

One of my favorites. While Lagunitas is distributed in my area, I haven't seen this around my neck of the woods for a while. :slight_frown:
