What beer are you drinking now? #3923

It is somewhat weird how in the many years that I frequented the friendly confines of Wrigley Field I never had an Old Style beer. But here I am at O'Hare drinking one in the Cubs' restaurant.

 

Good day BAs! Thunderstormy morning so far. I’ve been working in the garage while it’s bearable…time for a coffee break - Fremont’s “Mezclar” (2023):



Canned 3/8/23. Poured at 57°. A tasty Reserve Edition, a Cuvee of BBA Stout and Porter. Chocolate, bourbon and some coffee notes. The alcohol (10%) is just enough to tingle the tip of my tongue. Delish!

The rain has kept the temps down, but it’s hot and sticky. The sprinkler pump guys are scheduled today…they’ve called to say the rain has put them behind…I hope they show…Cheers and have a terrific Tuesday y’all!

 

Grolsch Pilsner. A wallet friendly local beer.

National beer in fact. It is from the east part of NL. Still can be called local I guess, since the Netherlands is rather small (about 1/3 in size compared to the state of New York).
Grolsch has always been the widely available option besides H**n*k*n here in NL.

Good to hear. I understood you don't see their specials like Tripel, Weizen, Kanon and Blond etc. in the US. I'll pack some of those whenever have the chance to travel to Minnesota, just in case.
