Saison Dupont (6.5%): A Belgian Saison with flavors of tart and sweet fruit, Belgian spices and smooth pale bread malts

I call it the gold-standard and probably the best Saison I’ve had. Fruity with complex Belgian esters & spices. A smooth, soft, yet dry finish. I love Saisons because unlike my usual of hops drilling you in the face, there’s a complexity of flavors and mouthfeel. @EdmundExley knows. I used to drink this style more often, but now every time I do, I am reminded how good it is.

Sox at the Mets for a series. Were my #1 and #3 favorites back in the day (Montreal #2), was disappointed with Shea 2.0 (and also Yankee Stadium 3.0). Then again, Comiskey 2.0 and Stade Olympique aren't the greatest either.

Two from the Dead Hour yesterday, though by the OG artists and not the cover band currently touring and featured on the show on WDCB last night.

The Rep. who distributes this stopped in work today, and dropped this off. We are getting some of this for the first time on Friday. Pretty good.

From a 16oz can.
Hazy, and murky golden pouring beer. There's tons of carbonation in the can and it's a 5 finger white head, at it's most, and it took several pours to get all the beer in the glass. Quite frothy, and fluffy looking. The retention is decent overall. Some great lacing on the glass.
Tons of tropical fruit hit from the hops. I get tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, and all are quite strong, and pleasing.
This is a very hoppy beer, as expected. I am getting more pineapple in the flavor, than the nose, and I'm also getting the tangerine and grapefruit in a decent amount.
The body does have a bit of a juicy feeling to it, but not overly so. Somewhat soft feeling.
This is quite good, and a pleasure to drink.

Definitely not like "Damn Fine" or even "Fine and Dandy" for that matter. Or even like when your girl asks you how she looks before going out "you look fine". Just fine...as in it doesn't suck and serves it's purpose

I’m getting too old for this Florida summer time heat…at this time of year my house in WV (while hot) seems mighty appealing…the winters, not so much…Cheers y’all!

 

Today was walking and $2 pints day. Surly Furious IPA was today's choice. Never had it on tap before, just cans. Outstanding! I believe I'll be updating my rating on this one.
