Can we get a BeerAdvocate Challenge Coin?

    While in Springfield, IL, recently, I stopped at the Cozy Dog Drive-In for dinner and Route 66 souvenirs. One of the souvenirs was this Cozy Dog/Route 66 "challenge coin." Produced by Signature Coins, it is die-struck on steel (they also do brass) and enamel-filled. It has a nice heft to it, at 1.75" in diameter. When I saw the price ($10) I couldn't get my money out fast enough. I've been thinking that it would be really, really cool to have a Beer Advocate challenge coin. I know this topic came up briefly in a Community Updates thread, but I haven't heard any more on it. So my question for you is: How about it? Can we get a BA challenge coin?

    What are challenge coins for? Is it just a souvenir or does it have a function?

    You'll know when you're at a bar with a bunch of BA's, someone calls for a coin check, and you don't have one. :wink:

    It's why I carried a Pfennig in my coin pocket every time I visited Germany. Although I never had the opportunity to be a part of the "in" crowd. :wink:

    I wonder, if we pester Todd enough, will that help or hinder the cause to get BA challenge coins. :smiley:
