I liked Mockery, but I didn't make it there as much as I would have liked. There are a ton of other places near there and it's kinda easy to forget they were "hiding" behind Great Divide. Hopefully they make some decent $ selling that space. Kinda related, Uhl's in Boulder announced they were closing this morning, too. Their last day will be 8/6. CO has seen plenty of breweries come and go, but this is the most closures in a short period of time that I can recall. There aren't really any "dud" places closing because their beer wasn't good, either.
These guys survived two years of Brighton Construction and Covid and were flanked by Great Divide and Blue Moon for half the life of their business I can't imagine the difficulties they went through. Small guys in a crowded neighborhood that gets significantly less foot traffic than the Larimer side of Rino. Liked their darks but typically found myself going to Great Divide if I was in the neighborhood. In 2014 someone renting a dilapidated house down the street starting having punk concerts in the garage so I remember going into Mockery to buy bottles in between bands to bring back to the show.
