Nice sleuthing! I may be the biggest fan of Lumberstruck out there so this is welcome news.

We're tied then. Possibly favorite Deep Wood beer ever, including the entire VSO series!

@BeerCruncher I'm pretty pumped for Friday and I know it's not a beer, but can you wax poetic on Rev's new hop water for me us? I like the Lagunitas version and am very intrigued by you guys using Nectaron.

As long as they stay away from BrewGas I'm sure it'll be fine.

Super-Zero goes on the other end of the Hop Water spectrum as Hoppy Refresher. We used hop pellets instead oils or extracts, a significantly bigger quantity/impact as a result, no natural flavors or sweeteners like Stevia, and ultra modern fruit forward hops in Nectaron + Sabro. Our goal is, among many other occasions, to provide an option that really helps hit some things you love about a pale ale or IPA when you want/need to avoid alcohol. I think Sierra’s Hop Splash does that, but has a very classic and grungy hop flavor like Sierra Pale (no complaints), where as Super-Zero is more contemporary in comparison. I’ve been drinking it in the mornings trying to resist an extra cup of coffee and it works surprisingly well there.

Nice. Is Super-Zero seeing some distro, or brewery only? I'll be in on Sunday and want to buy while there if possible.

Doug and the Rev team have seemingly been at this project for what feels like 2 years. I’m willing to bet it becomes a core brand.

I got a couple of sample cans last month. It’s definitely different from Hop Water (which is my go to). I like it a bit less, but it’s probably the Sabro that throws me off. It’s still very good and definitely one of the better ones I’ve tried.

I've entered that phase of beer nerdom where I want to buy hop water instead of vintage BA beers when I stop in to visit.

VSO Boss Ryeway is the last draft variant. Limited amounts of that and the DBVSOL as they were single barrels, but holding some back for Saturday as well.

Super-Zero will be a market wide release later this year, but we've been aggressively making sample batches, giving them to friends and retailers to taste, and dialing in the last little specs to perfect where we want it to land. Tomorrow morning, we're canning up a fresh batch in the branded cans and hoping to have them available for Deep Wood attendees to taste and maybe even take home assuming that run goes smoothly (knock on Deep Wood).

    Hell yeah!

Also, feels like hop water is a no-brainer for a BA fest/event. Keep the hops flowing without adding to the crushing weight of 15% abv pours entering your system.

Can anyone share what the advance pick-up is like for season ticket holders? I've got a tight schedule later this afternoon and was curious if it's reasonable to arrive at 2 for the pickup and have a quick draft sample all within the span of an hour or so? Appreciate anyone that can share what it was like last year.

Over the weekend I was at Pollyanna and opted to make my second drink their recently released Hop Water which while I didn't enjoy (tasted like a freshly opened pack of hop pellets and pretty sure they sweetened it with Stevia) it was nice to have something that tasted vaguely beer like but I could walk back to the car without a buzz. So I look forward to more of these not necessarily for home consumption but as the replacement for the second (or third) drink while out.

Super smooth, and an hour is likely plenty of time for your goals. Rev employees probably have more insight as to peak times but there's never been more than 2-3 people ahead of me. If I don't stay for a pour I've been in and out within 5 minutes.

Awesome thanks for the info. Seems there's only one special tap for today and the others debut tomorrow so looks like I won't need to linger too long.

This is great news! I can’t drink alcohol anymore, so I’ll definitely give this a try! I’m so glad that I’ve been logging on to BA every now and then. Oddly, visiting the forums has been harder to give up than drinking!
