    I do not recommend this brewery unless you are waiting for the metra train. The stop is 30 seconds away on foot. Not terrible beer, just dull.

    Good evening! Another scorcher today! I decided to crack my last older bottle of Mother of all Storms from Pelican this evening. 2014 bottle. Very nice, but it has definitely fallen off. Cheers!

    The good people at Kern River Brewing sent me this beer because I believe I purchased a bad batch of another IPA. Totally generous. Kern are my bros. Best West Coast IPA’s in California. Here’s the interesting part: they shipped it in April and it didn’t show up until yesterday! Who knows what this beer saw while lost in transit (probably a dank warehouse :stuck_out_tongue:) Oh, and while being canned in April, it’s still really good:

    I lasted about 30 seconds on the porch lol. (note freshly cut grass in the background) Mosquitoes were brutal. Heady Topper. Drinking this beauty as instructed. Cheers!

    Local place has okay regular pizza. I'll eat it. Especially when drinking.
    But there specialty pizzas are pretty damn good. I usually get the provolone pie or the pizzazz.
    The pizzazz is ridiculous!!

    One of my favorite bands also, saw them twice at the Beacon and can never get enough of them. I have a ton of concert shirts and one of my favorites (except on hot days because with all the ink it doesn't breathe very well). I do enjoy slide guitar but after awhile it really grates on my nerves (looking at you, Derek Trucks). When I saw them in 2006 Trucks was doing a nice 50/50 split between slide and "no slide". The 2nd time I saw him = all slide. Would have loved to have seen them with Dickie Betts and Dwayne. However, love me some Warren Haynes and even saw Gov't Mule on a business trip to Pittsburgh.
