O'Hara's West Coast IPA (Ireland). Ireland must be the best place for an European West Coast IPA I guess (not considering Iceland and Greenland in this with all respects).
Nothing spectacular, good beer for a good price (in NW Europe).

Was browsing the internet and YouTube for B-52 (the airplane) footage from the 1970's today for work. Footage from the band also popped up. Rather awesome. Could not share the real 70's stuff her because of some restrictions.

Cheers to peace and freedom

    Good Afternoon Advocates!

Had this one many times back in the day, but apparently never ticked it.

    Decent stuff.

    1) Ayinger Pilsner (5.3%): A German Pilsner with flavors of floral, grassy, yeasty flavors with a smooth, lightly bitter finish.
    versus
    2) Ayinger Jahrhundert Bier (5.5%): A European Export from Germany with flavors of earthy and grassy honeysuckle and Munich malt flavors. Smooth, mildly sweet. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Ayinger Jahrhundert Bier:
Ayinger Battle. Their Pils is always a favorite. Yeasty, floral, grassy, yet smooth and clean. Nails all the points. The Jahrhundert Bier always impresses me. Sort of similar to a Helles, but instead of bread and yeast has an earthy honey flavor. Almost like a festbier in some ways. I guess that's fitting because Oktoberfest seems to be in full-swing on the shelves already. The flavors are excellent, yet still maintains a great drinkability and balance. Perfect beer.

Great matchup. That one could go either way with me on any given day.

    Both winners. Cheers!

Up next, a collaboration between De La Senne and Allagash, an awesome bretted wheat beer. Drinks like an easy to drink cousin to Bitter Monk.

Yep - he often reviews and compare two great beers of any given style. Really enjoyable posts all the time and world class beers on a daily basis, I like it!

@Beer-Panda Anything from Irish O’Haras has been good to me, haven’t even seen that one yet but I’m tempted…

    1) Toppling Goliath Haze Bus (7.8% canned 4/24/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra for flavors of orange flower, zest, orange juice. A bite off the end.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue (7.8% canned 5/20/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with flavors of orange citrus zest, flower, pineapple and mango skins. Tropical.
    (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) TG DDH King Sue
: Toppling Goliath haze battle. Have done this battle before, but I remember these drinking extremely similar so to revisit. Haze Bus still drinking alright, but it's getting to that point, 3 months on the date. Great Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic and classic. The King still drinking wonderfully. Figured with the DDH it would be falling off already by now. Feel like a fool for doubting it.

Same. Ayinger Pils always has great flavors and seems a bit heavier and more smooth than other pilsners. Figured I'd see it next their Export Style. Big difference though side-by-side. The Pils was way cleaner.

Happy day/evening or whatever is in front of you! Thanx @EdmundExley for BA3929 Home Of The Virtual Bier Stübe. I just returned from a 32.5 mile bike ride. 24 miles of crushed gravel. Nice to get out in the corn and soybean fields. Hot as hell here today and aside from having to learn a shitload of songs for a gig this Friday, I'm on easy street the rest of the day. I do drum tmrw nite from 7-11pm so I can rip it up today. Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier for a victory lap. One of the finest. Prosit!
**Side note: Been re-visiting and also trying a number of classic German beers as of the past few weeks and they just simply kick ass.

Westmalle Tripel. Some say this is the best Tipel around.
A gateway beer for me ages ago, that saved me from the boring world of industrial lagers and pilsners

Finally done working for the day - having a Pub Ale Mate!

They came by today and replaced my well pressure tank and disconnected the old filter tanks. Got about 10 lbs more water pressure now. Cost was a hefty $1800 but they did a great job.
