    Hey Gang!

I got a Cigar City Peach White Oak Jai Alai in the glass.,., Cheeeeers!

Canned in April, I thought it would fall apart, as Jai Alai is known to do.,., but the oak spires bring a nice vanilla note, the familiar hop is present, and the peach is subtle.
    Nice summer crusher.,.

    Jukebox Dime! Aloha From Hell.,.

Toppling Goliath MoZee (6.2% canned 7/10/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with Nelson and Mosaic for flavors of grapefruit, kiwi, mango, pineapple.

Excellent hop combo of Nelson and Mosaic, and becoming one of my favorite combinations. Grapes and vinous tones from the Nelson mix with the tropical berries and mango from Mosaic. Extremely hoppy flavorful, yet dry and clean. Extremely drinkable and enjoyable at the 6.2%. I'd prefer this over most DIPAs. A World-Class NEIPA at only 6.2%. A summer gem.

    Hello Advocates!

Absurd levels of humidity out there today with occasional storms.

Great day to stay in the climate-controlled homestead and sip on some cold ones.

First up, from Notch, is German Afternoons. This one's growing on me.

    Cheers BAs!

Ez 10 miler this morning, after coffee, now settling in with some vibration gun time (LOL) for my tired calves and some NA/UA Juicy.

Tough 30k on Saturday, last little tune-up race-test, we'll see how that goes. LT-100 is three weeks away.... *gulp*

Cheers all... a little MFDoom/Jazz riff for ya today.

    1) Equilibrium Ocean Vibes (8.0% canned 5/11/23): A NEIPA from NY, in collab with Vitamin Sea, with Citra, Idaho 7, Galaxy, Sabro lactose for flavors of orange, green guava and melon, pineapple, with some peach and mango creamsicle.
    versus
    2) Parish Brewing Okra (8.0% canned 6/27/23): A NEIPA from Louisiana, in collab with Other Half, with Nelson, Moteuka, Nectaron for flavors of key lime zest, Sauvignon Blanc spritz, ripe pineapple, and juicy Alphonso mangoes. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) EQ Ocean Vibes:
The age-old Equilibrium vs Other Half Battle. First try at this one from Parish. It has all NZ hops. Vinous, citrus, zesty. Drinks fairly clean and dry. Loving the NZ hops flavors, but the pour, carbonation, and mouthfeel could use some work. I wouldn't guess it's from Other Half. On the other Hand Ocean Vibes is another one from EQ and a little older. Great Idaho 7 and Sabro for the pineapple, coconut, and green mango skin flavors. Signature EQ green mango skins flavors with the memorable creamy body. I've always been an EQ man, but I've also had some really good ones from Other Half.

    look: 3.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.75

Straw yellow color, pale and clear; sparse and coarse carbonation; inital thick white head, loosely soapy texture, soon diminishes to a thin, frothy appearance. Excellent smell; cracker and toasted bread crust; noble hop spiciness. Light malt with moderate hop bitterness comprise the taste; soda cracker; clean; light hop spiciness. Medium-light body; smooth and crisp; slight warmth with a moderate dryness at the finish.

Minor appearance and mouthfeel flaws do not take away from the great aroma and balanced taste.

Doing a little front brake maint on the old dirt bike with Brakleen brand parts cleaner. I use that shit for the brake rotors on my trucks.. Much better now. Gravel dust adds up quickly. About perished from the heat in a 1/4 mi gear-thru. The sun is gonna melt us. I'll gladly free and expunge this handy lil' can of Copper Trail Hopper Trail WCIPA. Salute!

Perpetual IPA excellent brew from Troegs brewing in Hershey PA. Troegs is a brewery that in my case has been lost in the flood of new breweries. This IPA reminds me of just how good they are.
