    Welp, because of physical issues I mentioned yesterday and before that I’m not overly busy this summer. It’s pretty gloomy too this year so best I can do is rest and heal up…

    I’ve had the chance to enjoy an Asian buffet (a broad term, Asia is a huge region) way back in San Francisco.

    Our friends living there told us if the majority of customers inside were Asians/Asian Americans it definitely meant it was a great one, and it was.

    We have several here and in neighboring towns - one is top notch, bit pricey but it’s packed from Monday to Sunday nonetheless. Also Tsingtao or Asahi are hard to beat when eating sushi’s. Cheers!

    This is an excellent Oatmeal Stout. No canning date but I have no doubt that it is reasonably fresh.

    I have always loved the original single by The Zombies and written by Rod Argent. I have always thought the song to be an outlier and well ahead of its time. And, of course, Santana delivers as usual..

    Enjoying this tasty collab between Schloss Eggenberg and Schilling. A excellent brew, has got me chilling out properly this morning. Very nice. My taste buds are about reset. Beer drinking was getting old with dulled taste buds tbh, was kinda aggravated about it but out of my hands.

    Yep, they got rid of the baby… a couple years ago and the last few bottles of FBS I sipped on there was only a bowl with a missing baby. Can’t associate a baby with alcohol. Official reason, I believe.

    This has been going on for a long time, but it was state-by-state, with NH being one of the first (circa 2015), IIRC, and followed at some point by their home state of MI - but they maintained the baby for the rest of their distro (perhaps international distro was different.

    Additionally, this isn't the original baby-less label, which featured an empty bowl of oatmeal and a "missing" post-it note on the fridge. That seems to match the bottles you received, as well. This label is new branding, as far as I can tell.

    This is the first batch I've ever seen in CT without the baby, including very recent (fresh) purchases. If they've made the decision to finally remove the baby from all bottles - instead of being based on state distro, or perhaps because they were forced to by some recent federal decision - then this is very recent.
