    Good morning/day BAs! Thanks @MadMadMike for opening up the VB on your birthday! I hope you have a great day, it looks tasty so far! This morning’s eye-opener for me - FBS:

    Bottled 6/28/23. Poured at 50°. Fresh brewed iced coffee delicious.

    I took yesterday off yesterday as a cleanse day, and helped Mrs. Z disassemble and move the master bedroom furniture out into the living room; the last room to have the carpet pulled up and the terrazzo floor underneath restored.

    I have other chores to do today, and given we’re under another heat advisory (heat index up to 112°) I’ll likely stay inside and putter. Cheers and have a pleasant thermodynamic Thursday y’all!

    Pale gold color, clear; dense, lively carbonation; thick head, white, sculpted densely foamy. Outstanding light malt aroma with a fine grassy / floral hop combination; light cracker; thyme and lavender. Delicate malt flavor, bread crust; suggestion of jasmine; very low hop bitterness. Medium-light body; crisp; a hint of dryness but otherwise very thirst quenching.

    This incredibly mild and delicate beer exudes subtlety and quiet complexity.

    Pours a clear, dark mahogany color and looks a deep, dark, opaque brown in the glass; thick, frothy head, light khaki colored and long lasting. Beautiful aroma of charred grain and cacao nibs. Dark grain taste; light bitter chocolate and roasted malt grain; modest bitterness emenating through the light sweetness. Light to medium-light body; smooth with a mild residual sugar feel.

    A well-rounded and balanced dark lager.

    ...an old favorite band of mine...there may be a musical theme (or is it a motif?) coming into play with me today...???...

    I like the melon aroma, berry flavors, and bitter aftertaste.
    I spent 6 hours watching the UCI pro cycling World Championships yesterday, and I will probably go back and watch the highlights again.

    Hello BAs! Happiest of birthdays to @MadMadMike and all the trimmings! This morning I excised a tree limb that was about 28 ft up, lopped it up phase 1 and got the large pc to the fire pit. Acer Negundo or Box Elder however, it's in the maple family and has winged nutllets, or helicopters for seeds. Anyway, a weedtree and they're everywhere and might live 65 yrs in ideal conditions. Bla bla bla Andy. Boy, where's the beer?!

    Canned 6/8/23. Not on sale, but for a good price, so I rescued the 12/pk from the big box store yesterday where I get my FBS.

    The roofer just came by to look at the minor leak in my ceiling. Poor sob. I wouldn’t go up on the roof in this heat. The Index is projected to hit 112° again today…

    I’m going to stay inside and “hydrate” :wink: Cheers y’all!
