Southern Tier's Harvest is one of my first Fall Go-To's...it's such a solid beer!

I actually like Pumking, especially when the dew point is 70!

My 'official' first fall beer is Great Lakes Nosferatu. Usually hits the area September-ish (i.e., an actual fall month). Perhaps nostalgia more than anything else I suppose.

Yup Pumking, Shi*yard, Shi*yard Rimmer…., Zero Gravity here in RI. Clerk was surprised about the lack of Sam Adams, said they usually have it by now.

RI is a dead zone. I saw one six pack of shiners marzen and then a couple cases of Wachusetts. Which is good but no paulaner, hofbrau, nothing

Finally able to track down some Ayinger Oktober Fest Marzen. We usually see a big drop in stores about now but it's been scarce so far. Yep, it was expensive $13.99/ 4 pk. Always look forward to enjoying this one. Prost!

Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Ales have hit the shelves here. My first go is Victory Festbier.

Just spotted Pumpking, and SN Oktoberfest in stock at Putnam Spirits in Putnam, CT. I almost went for those but I figured I'd snag their last 6 pack of Summerfest....!

Another Georgia offering. Round Trip Brewing Oktoberfest Marzen Lager 5.5%. This was good last year. They made a barrel aged version a couple years ago that was really interesting. New packaging this year. When I picked up today the brewery said they did tweak it from last year. Makes me curious to see how much difference I notice, if at all. Of course, I had to grab a Maß (technically it's 0.5L) before departing. Prost!

Holy shit this is amazing stuff. That's just my 2nd bottle and I'm totally impressed. I'll do a side-by-side with Augustiner's Oktoberfest asap because I think I have a new favorite.

Freshly baked bread, honey and a hint of citrus. Unique, rather strong malt flavor and the perfect interplay with citrussy hops. Superb mouthfeel and a medium body.
Simply delicious and such an easy drinkability at 6% ABV.

    Wow! Highly recommended!

    Prost!

All the mention of citrus has me skeptical, sorry.

No need to apologize  It's very subtle and the only thing I was able to detect(hop-wise) Probably on the same level as some Helles Lager.

I read somewhere that Giesinger Brewery is trying to become the seventh Munich brewery to serve beer at Oktoberfest. A tall order I suspect.

    From earlier in the thread:

Back in 2021 they said to look for them at the Oktoberfest in about 5 years.

The Craft Beer Channel guys visited Giesinger Brau a few months ago and produced the below video. The beer they enjoyed drinking the most was the unfiltered Helles.

I enjoyed watching it and hopefully some of you will as well.

They ended the video with a toast to Geisinger being served at the Oktoberfest celebration in 2024. I suppose we shall see?

    Prost!

Pours a dark copper / light brown color, appear mahogany red in the glass; coarse and dense carbonation bubbles; thick, frothy head with some sculpting, light khaki color. Pleasant aroma of lightly toasted malt grain; nuts. Mild sweetness infused with light caramel and lightly toasted malts; nutty; a hint of light cocoa; light hop bitterness balancing the malt sweetness. Medium body; smooth; subtle dryness at the finish.

A very balanced and decently complex traditional German styled beer.
