I always thought this was a hidden gem. Maybe it was too hidden....

But man the food at that place is incredible. One of my must-visit spots every time I travel back to VT for vacation.

Whole operation is for sale - brand name, equipment, restaurant, and the building

I found out recently that founder/brewing partner Jaimie Griffith had left, leaving remaining founding brewer Allen Van Anda. Perhaps he's had a good run and wants out now as well. Been a good 12 years, I think. Covid shutdown was awful hard on them, though.

I wasn't paying attention to this thread in February and thus was unpleasantly surprised to find out that although the place is still open, production seems to be halted. The brewery menu doesn't show any 4packs to go, and stores in Vermont don't have any of their beers either. Sad considering some of the excellent beers they used to make.

That is sad, they were a great part of my early VT beer experiences. They wowed me at ACBF, were the first really solid VT IPAs distro'd in MA, and of course had the sneaky great patio with incredible food for a while.

They set the standard for me with their Gose. They nailed that beer.

I don't see their cans anywhere here in VT anymore. Really sucks, as I loved popping in and grabbing a great lunch and some 4-packs.

Are they just limping along to burn off inventory, or trying to fully transition to more of a restaurant/hang out spot?

I'm a tourist in Vermont, but from what I can see, there is no inventory left anywhere in stores, or at the brewery.

So odd to read this but seems pretty normal on their socials.

From the social media and their website, they still have four beers on tap at the brewery, but no canning.

They were a frequent stop for good beer and excellent food on the way back from Hill Farmstead to Waterbury on my VT trips.

I was just at the brewery this past weekend. They only had 2 Lost Nation beers on tap, and they tasted funky. Zero cans for sale and only a couple of bottles. I was there back in August too and could tell that something was up, but somehow missed that the place was for sale. The food was pretty awful both of the last times I went too. So super bummed as this used to be my favorite brewery to visit. I hope someone bought it and will revive it!!!
