In Memoriam Accounts

    Unfortunately we've had some members of our community that have passed on over the years, with an increase in recent years. To remember and protect these accounts, I've created a new "In Memoriam" usergroup to help us identify members who are no longer with us and applied it to a handful of known accounts. I've also received emails from family members who wish to preserve accounts and contributions. This will help with all of that.

    "In Memoriam" will appear as a user banner and I also created a new page and tab under Notable Members:

    Please feel free to message me if an account needs in memoriam applied or tag them here, but please don't tag a user/use this thread to speculate simply because you haven't seen them in a while.

    Great idea!

    This forum has always had more of a community feel than most, and this adds to that.

    As mentioned, there's no public link at the moment, but I'm considering building a page and adding it as a new tab on the Notable Members page.

    Both living in small Helsinki. My neighbors may never know if though, living in an apartment. My wife could send an email. Could add it to the list what to do if...

    Edit: some of my neighbors might be interested in the subject, not totally alienated :wink:

    I set this up to notify me about this thread, but I prob should find a way to notify this thread about me. Racing my cellar to see who kicks first, lately seems the cellar is a presumptive favorite :stuck_out_tongue:. Also wondered about the folks who are MIA, and I assumed were KIA. Glad there is now a way to remember them.

    Yeah man, still kicking for sure, Doc says no real fixing what I did bad to myself, just gotta not do any more of it. So, a completely different lifestyle now that only lets me drink one beer a month, and many other restrictions. I get my daily beer fixes visually and imaginarily now, with the help of all you excellent folks drinking the stuff I wish I was drinking. Back to being (almost) a lurker, how's that for full circle? 5 1/2 (new count) years of beer in the cellar still, I don't plan on being a subject line in this thread until sometime after that last bottle is enjoyed, but who knows?

    I remember you too, my friend, all those crazy years leading up these even crazier years. Always fun to read and interact with you. Def; won't and can't forget you either. Cheers!
