    I've yet to meet a Maibock I didn't like.

    Ayinger's version, however, is exquisite.

    Cheers BAs!

EDIT: Another winner in a string of style-faves by this brewery.

It's as if they can peer into my beer-soul to craft what I desire.

Man alive! This is one fine beer!! It's non-carbonated by design, so there is no head per se, yet the pouring color is dark, deep and alluring, Everything improves from there. The taste and mouthfeel are dense and complex on the palate. The 17% ABV, while not hidden, certainly seems integrated in a fantastic way with the rest of the flavors and mouthfeel characteristics. I will be cellaring a couple of these to see how they age (and I'm thinking the beers will age gracefully).

Firestone Walker DBA. I'd love to try this from a cask one day! Fresh draughts will certainly do in the meantime.

After they shut down their brewery here in NH, not sure I've ever have seen again.

Oh the memories of the $1 brewery tour, culminating with as much as you could drink at the end. The most popular of their tour guides (wish I could remember his name) was hilarious to pass the time while you were touring (weren't drinking), but then also had no problem filling endless pitchers for your experience at the 'sampling' room. My GF and I had to call for a ride afterward on multiple occasions.

Easily must have hit that tour a dozen times.

$1USD for ~8-10 great beers if you could drink fast enough.

    Cheers for the nostalgia!

Have a good Sunday. Me and Julia went to Norfolk to see the USS Wisconsin and naval museum. We are coming back here asap to see more in VA Beach. We are having brunch at wasserhund brewing.

I got the four legged freaks red wine ba quad. Amazing stuff. Aromas and flavors of big raisin, plum, fig, date, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, red wine, oak, toast, biscuit, nutty; light molasses, chocolate, diacetyl, peppercorn, pine, herbal, grass, yeast earthiness. Light peppery yeast spiciness, herbal bitterness, and yeast/oak tannin tang in the finish. Medium carbonation and med full body. Very creamy silky feel. Light lingering sticky hop and oak tannin drying. Super smooth finish, no cloying sweetness, mild warmth and booze of 12.2% after the finish. Incredibly balanced, complex, and not too heavy on body. Spot on style. 4.35

Cheers to @eppCOS for a Herculean effort yesterday!
Onto round 2 and thankfully the last of the Advent brews, this being a Chocolate Stout. Unfortunately it was probably not good to begin with an having this after the July expiration date does not help. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
    Cheers!

Central Waters Barleywine Brewers Reserve 2017. Shamefully I forgot who gave this ale to me. Possibly @Nugganooch but I’m not certain. I am certain this beer is excellent. Cheers.

Palate cleanser, as I'm still trying to like this one. #9 of the 12pk.

Too hoppy for me, but if I drink enough in a row it becomes more pleasant.
