Incoming Washington Beerhead

    Hello all! I'm a 28 YO from the Seattle area, who began my beer journey two years ago when I lived in Colorado for a few months, then came back because I ran out of cash, although I'm still planning my great escape from Washington (again).

    I've tried a decent cross-section of the beer world in the past two years, liking most things but loving aggressive IPAs the most, fitting for someone from my neck of the woods; I also like lighter ales, dark ambers, stouts and Oktoberfest lagers depending on the season. I'm a big believer in trying out local crafts whenever I travel, tasting all the nuances that people put into their unique brews.

    Outside of beer, I also drink too much coffee, and also like tea and root beer. In real life, I'm a utility arborist, so I work outside and love every second of it. Glad to be here!

    Welcome to the Beer Advocate website and thanks for sharing your personal and beer journey.

    I tend to prefer pale ales and IPAs as well, and stouts in the colder weather. Love traveling as well and learning / experiencing the local beer and food scene. I wish I got into craft beer earlier when I was able to travel a lot more, though gives me incentive to return to places I have enjoyed in the past.

    Do you have any favorite beers or breweries from your time in Colorado and/or Washington/Seattle? Any recommendations from your travels elsewhere?

    I have limited experience with Washington beers, but really enjoyed the Fremont stouts I've come across at FOBAB, hope to come across more of their offerings and other breweries down the road.

    Hello welcome to BA ,thanks for joining last Sunday. You beer journey is in two great places , would love to hear of places and beers you had traveling between, also you job sounds unique , would like to hear more about that.
