2023 NFL 33 BIF

It's that time of year again... Thanks again @Theredflame2 for all your work over the years.

Without further ado....Time for another year of NFL 33. This is a great time, and no skill needed. Basically, you get a team and if it scores 33 during the season, you win!

I will randomly draw names and assign teams.

Object:
Your team scores 33 points in a game, win or lose, and you win!

I will break up the teams in 4 groups of 8 (ideally. If we don’t get 32 participants, I will work to make the weeks even). This is for shipping purposes only, anyone wins if their team hits 33 at any time.

The first 8 picked start at Week 1. If someone hits in weeks 1-4, this group ships beer.

Once someone hits, or we get to Week 5, then group 2 starts. If no one hits the first four weeks, group 1 and 2 ship, so now it's 16 boxes of beer! If 33 is not hit, every 4 weeks the next group is added. The first one to hit 33 gets boxes from everyone on the clock.

When 33 is hit, everyone already on the clock ships. The next group is on the clock and we start the 4 week clock over.

Last year, we went through the 4 groups two times. No one is required to go the second round.

So in a nutshell:
1. 44oz good quality beer
2. Random Drawn NFL Team
3. Team needs to have a final score of 33 win or lose
4. Random drawn senders in groups of eight
5. If two or more winners hit they split whatever box total is up for grabs.
6. No gaps in beer sending schedule! If someone hits early the next group is up.
7. If all four groups give beer out, we will decide a way to proceed. Last year we went a second time with new teams.
8. If you are a sender and you hit you still get the total number of boxes minus your own. Example you hit Week 4, you get the other seven boxes.
9. Group of 8 will rollover into the next group of 8 if no hits occur for four consecutive weeks
10. Side LIFs are highly encouraged. What is that you ask? Well, make up something and ship beer if it happens. Check past years for examples. I'll be doing one, but haven't decided what yet.
11. Shipping is expected within 30 days

NOTE: Two years ago we ended up with 26 individuals that played in at least one of the two rounds so hopefully we can get to 32 this year. The first round we only had 16 so everyone received one NFC and one AFC team and the second round we eliminated the lowest scoring teams. TIf we end up with between 16-32, I'll figure something else out. I’d probably eliminate the teams projected to score the least amount of points this year. I want to draw the teams on the Tuesday before games start, but if we are close to filling, I'll do Wednesday. If we don't get 16 entries, I don't think I'll run it, but I'm hoping that's not a problem.

All this might look complicated but it's not. I will answer any questions on here or beermail.

This is opened to BAers with at least 5 good trades or another BIF. Otherwise you'll need a sponsor in this BIF. This doesn't guarantee boxes will be shipping, but definitely helps.

I'm going to tag all of last year's participants and they'll automatically be in if they are interested. If you haven't played, definitely still sign-up, as I'm hoping we'll get back to 32. Last year's participants will have until Wednesday morning (August 30) before their guaranteed spots are opened up.
