    Parisis Blonde, a fine pale ale from… Pawis… where we can buy Heineken in Macdonald’s. :wink:

    It’s a good one, numerous breweries have popped up in the past five years here and the land of wine is slowly turning to beers too. I posted a thread about it in the France forum (Regional forum) but unfortunately it appears to be behind a paywall. Need to find a different source today:

    Hey everyone!

    It's the first day of my holiday, so I opened a special beer: Cantillon Grand Cru Bruocsella 2018/19 vintage. You can imagine the scene; I'm about to start 48 days off work, travel to Europe, and indulge my beer-nerdiest fantasies. What better way to start than with a Cantillon? I knew the beer had its unique edges with its lack of carbonation and barnyard, oaky funk, but what I didn't expect was a chalky, watery thinness that exacerbated the lack of carbonation and gave the beer a metallic, cucumber-like finish. Maybe I had a bad beer; maybe my tongue wasn't playing right; or maybe I just didn't like the taste profile that everyone else raves about.

    But you know? I'm on holiday, so who cares?

    Enjoy your weekend everyone, and do your best to avoid beer with cucumber in it!

    Hello everyone! Last day ok Santorini. Pleasantly surprised by how the beer scene has evolved here since I last visited 10 years ago. This is a hibiscus saison that really thirst quenches in the 85 degree / 70% humidity weather. Flying to Athens tomorrow

    Hello happy drinkers! Thanks @Todd for having us at your virtual bar!! The long holiday weekend is indeed upon us and I've a plethora of beers to plow right into. Option anxiety befalls me with BB Stouts from Goose Island & KBS, Lagers from lovely Germany to Nebraska, IPAs out the wazoo and other assorted sundries. Might as well keep the rate/review cars connected and continue on-track with new-to-me stuff. We're experiencing another heat wave here with the next 5 days seeing temps at 90, 94, 99, 98, 93F. Ouch. Mrs. DeWitt & I are stayin' home and stayin' cool. Please be safe if out in that heat! Here's Kros-Strain Maltiplicity WCIPA dry hopped. Holy buckets what a fine brewskie. Cheers!
