It’s also a shell of what it was. Glad someone offered me a pour, but it wasn’t close to some of the other beers I had.

i’ll say it for the millionth time here: i do not get the point of wanting a stout that should have been consumed like 5 years ago

Beers with adjuncts need to be consumed fresh (with the obvious caveat that if you find a flavor too strong, depending on what it is, it may fade over time. Obviously some adjuncts can get stronger or dominate other flavors).

For 'neat' BA stouts, or even ones with vanilla, I personally understand the appeal of consuming it later, but that has to do with what oxidation is doing to that beer. Vanilla is one that I often let open up (same night/day, overnight, or letting it sit in the cellar across years), because I think it improves the flavor. I like those oxidized qualities more than the fresh qualities. Oxidation seems to convert (in vanilla beers) it from that ethyl-alcohol, almost extract-quality flavor to full integration. Personally, this has been true for nearly every vanilla stout I have consumed, regardless of the brewery. I actually got to try one of the 375ml vanilla beers from earlier this year, and I personally thought it would have benefited from decanting in the glass for awhile, but that wasn't in the cards that night at the cellar. Most SP beers I have opened at home, I have enjoyed more on day 2 than on day 1, including BBT, the anchorage collab, achromatic, coco.

So, you’re saying I shouldn’t try to chase a year’s worth of BA Coco Vibes? :grimacing:

Sounded like only a case of DBD Mizunara at open today. But splitting a bottle of D11 with a buddy was a nice consolation. Looking forward to the party tonight!

Must be a lot of it. Not a garage release, and being sold at both Cellar and Brewery

Are there shares at the brewery when the release isn't out of the garage?

Did a side by side of BA Coco Vibes B2 and MT Ultra Coco 2022 tonight. BA Coco Vibes won. Much more complex and not as overly sweet. But two of the better coconut stouts I’ve ever had.

Did they sell out of Continuance? Or just stopped sales like a garage release?

Neither locale showing it to go so sold out? Saving on-site / online release?
