What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3972

I seem to be experiencing a bout of insomnia in addition to the other sleep disorder issues I've been having. Fun. Drinking coffee stout and cleaning around my apartment. Still lots of work to be done.



Snacking on some popcorn and listening to the Kingdom Hearts II soundtrack.

 

Almost 8 AM here. I'm tired, but still awake. At this point, I'm going to try my damndest to stay awake for the rest of the day, because a maintenance worker might show up at any given time to fix my leaky shower faucet, and the construction crew outside is making a racket. If I can just stay awake until early evening when it starts to get dark, then I can realign my schedule and get a good 12 hours of sleep, potentially. It's going to be a rough time, though.



I still have a few more of these Child of Nights. I've been reluctant to drink them. They're too precious to me, for personal reasons. If you know, you know...

 

Easy morning enjoying previous threads and this offering. Hopefully one day Goose Island and perhaps even Anheuser-Busch would spin off from InBev joining just about every craft beer brewery the past few years.

Likely my palate has changed, but this beer is very sweet to me, used to be an AAL go to. Will switch to Moosehead after my case is depleted.

The bar that never sleeps! Thanks @JamFuel for 3972. Supposed to be the final day of the heat wave here. I feel for anything that lives outside. Dangerous heat. My schedule is starting to book up with music stuff. Had a short break as of late (minus the Neil Young trib gig) and I'm pondering using a different drum kit. Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy. I feel guilty for not using more of my gear...which rhymes with more of my beer. Tighthead Everybody Loves Centennial DDH Pale Ale. 5.8% ABV and beautiful orange notes from it, aroma & esp taste. Cheers!

 

Another visit today to Physical Therapy. They have worked wonders with my lower back.

Needed something hoppy being in Belgian beer land. This was all the store had. It’s ok:

 

Man. This is a highly enjoyable brew here and to be fair, I drank the 1st one so fast that a 2nd is in order to complete a thorough rating/review. It's an ultra tasty single hop drop. 2nd is better than the 1st! This one gets a high rating. Cheers!

Really love seeing Tighthead in this thread. I've only had a half dozen or so of their different beers, but really liked to love everything I've tried. Visited for the first time in May, and was pleased to see an active cask handle as well. Wish it was easier to reach (15-20 miles south of the Wisconsin / Illinois border in Mundelein). Hope to come across this beer as well!

Here is one from another great Illinois brewery, this one in Chicago, and their El Dorado based take on their year-round Alley Time. Love them both.
