    Hi guys,

A few months ago I went to the local supermarket and I bought an IPA beer, 330 ml. The cap was like the BERNARD's caps:

So, that's what I remember, but I may maybe wrong. The reason I think I am not remembering something correctly is that I went to 2 big stores, especially for beer and they said that they never even have seen an IPA with a cap like this. I searched on the internet and I did not find also.

Yesterday I went to the same supermarket and bought an IPA that tasted like the one I am looking for, and I think it is the same, but just to make sure, have any of you ever seen an IPA with a cap like the Bernard's beers?

    Kind regards,
    Sunny

Would help to narrow down options if we knew where you are located ... not many swing top IPAs being sold in the USA ...

Or Swing-Tops in general. I’ve only seen a few sours ever packaged this way. I wonder why the format isn’t as popular? Besides the increasing dominance of cans…

I’m betting on Grolsch like @MistaRyte stated.

I was sitting at a Mexican joint the other days at the bar waiting on few having a few Modelos and the waiter asked for what ipas they had, from a customer I assume. Dude said I have Oberon Wheat Ale, Fat Tire and Voodoo Ranger. He looked at me like right? I had no choice to be like uh NO lol. Only one of those is what you are looking for.

So not everyone is knowledgeable as we are. But troll post? Maybe for whatever reason lol.

No, it's not Bernard IPA, but I will check it out, thank you  And I am no bot :grinning:

So I spoke with the supermarket's owner and he promised to check all of the IPAs they ordered. Today I will go there to give me the info and I will take a picture of the beer :grinning:

In relation to your questions. I live in Sofia, Bulgaria in the center. I don't know how to describe how the beer tasted like... more bitter than the usual IPAs I guess. I am not a specialist in beer. Until not long ago I drank the cheapest beers for like 1 BGN /0.5 EUR/. Then I tried some dark beer, more expensive and I liked it. So for the past year, I try different kinds of beers, but did not drink that much.

BTW, thank you for all the comments, guys.

Gotcha, and that is what I feared ... the beer selection in Sofia is going to be very different than here stateside. As such, we're probably not going to be much help.

No, it is not a Bulgarian beer. Bulgarian beer is usually a very shitty one... Not that we do not have good craft beers as far as I know, but...

I will upload a photo later today.

Grolsch is sold in Bulgaria. I’m betting on Grolsch IPA or NEIPA…

The only Grolsh I have seen in Bulgaria is the 330 ml. Pilsner.

In addition, here is the beer I was looking for :grinning:

Now that I've tasted it again... Well, it seems more bitter than I remember it. Nevertheless it is still nice, it is cheap /something like 2 EUR, 3.90 BGN/. I am sure there are way more better IPAs, but for that price I think it is GOOD!

Damn my local breweries are way behind the times. When are they going to finally brew a Mediterranean IPA?
