Good day Raul and thanks for uncorking todays VB!

Just northern French thing and a bière de garde - La Goudale. I used to own the glassware for this one before I met a clumsy gal. Won’t say more on the matter.

    Cheers!

Okay thanks to Raul I’m not standing there and drinking alone, but back to back with 3 Monts also a bière de garde, and its matching glassware that missus isn’t allowed to get close to.

    Santé!

    Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen,
returning from a hearing and various checks in court for work, a moment of pause in which to go back on holiday with the mind...
This beer was a very pleasant novelty and I kept the can. Too bad it was a one-shot, but if I find other things like this from this brewery I will try to taste them, at least to try to see if they retain some distinctive character from the mass of proposals of this kind.
these are my notes taken at the time of drinking (20/08/2023).

Birrificio Vetra (Varese, ITA) + Microbrasserie 90 BPM (Dijon, FRA) - KINKI - DDH Session Hazy IPA (4.5%)

First time I drank it and probably also the last since it is written on the can that it is a "One shot" of their line called "Wondercraf", it is a collaboration between Vetra from Varese and a Dijon microbrewery.
33cl can (€5 from the pub fridge).
On the label: "Lot: L366 - Best before: 11/2023".
Freshly uncorked, mainly aromas of ripe citrus fruits, then also summer fruit (melon, apricot).
When poured, it produces a medium foam, but of poor consistency... It soon vanishes.
It's a light golden color that is quite "cloudy", not transparent.
In the mouth, a very light body accompanied by a lively (but not excessive) carbonation, a very pleasant sensation.
The characteristic traits of many "hazy IPAs" can be found, yellow fruit (especially peaches and plums), sweet yellow melon and slightly more bitter citrus notes (grapefruit, ripe orange). Between this fruity taste and the finish, we find that silky sensation which effectively puts an end to the explosiveness of the fruit, without there being room for a noteworthy bittering note.
On the palate there is still ample space for fruity notes of ripe and summer fruit.
Modern product, in good shape, very tasty and therefore, I presume, well made for its style.

Personal consideration: Personally I feel a bitter note is missing that breaks up all this fruitiness, giving character to the beer and the drink, but I understand very well that this modern style is based on other bases.
You can feel that it is a quality beer: very fragrant and tasty, although that sense of "silky" takes away from a bitter taste which, according to personal taste, I would have preferred.

Regular Spak maybe post different kind of reviews, less clinical, not a wall-of-text and using paragraphs?

Morning, BAs! After knocking out a run, I have stuck with my workout plan through three cycles (weights on days 1 and 2, running day 3, day 4 off). It's not much, and the workouts aren't what most people would find impressive by any means, but barely three months after major surgery, I'm just glad I've stuck with it so far. :grinning:

That deserves a lunch beer I wasn't originally planning on having.

Still not the hugest fan of this beer, but it's not bad enough to let it rot in the fridge. Cheers!
