What Beer Are You Drinking Now #3987

Good day BAs! Thanks @Bigrock for starting today's thread. Another chilly, dewy morning here in the tundra of NW PA. Still getting tons of jalapenos and ghost peppers - now supplying one local restaurant and one local coffee house.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:

And ....;... The photo is gone, MIA. Anyway, it's New Holland's Dragon Milk Reserve - Coffee and Chocolate, that I picked up last week in Grand Rapids. Not too good, weak in the aroma and taste departments. Rating 3.18, rDev -23.7%. Or maybe I'm just jaded from drinking too many Hoppin' Frog and Jackie O's excellent stouts.

 

Good morning/day BAs! I took yesterday off as a cleanse day. This morning’s chores are under way, the dogs have been fed and walked around the neighborhood. Coffee time - FBS:



Bottled 7/13/23. Poured at 53° after sitting on the counter 1/2 an hour (while I walked the dogs). Good stuff.

The RV guy is supposed to come and look at the refrigerator. Waiting for his call this morning. Cheers and have a wonderful Wednesday y’all!

 

Making the most of my last couple of days off work. Mostly been doing housework today but still, that's better than being at work!

Decent supermarket IPA from NM. Their budget supermarket offerings are usually pretty decent.

Hello BAs! Thanks @Bigrock for 3987 today. Yet another cracker of a day here. No fitness workout or drums! The first door I opened today was the bier stübe door. Had one of these the other day and it's gorgeous. Time for the rate & review. Quaff On Busted Knuckle Robust Porter. This brew is from Nashville, IN. I spent most of my childhood runnin' around those hills...Cheers!!

 

Drinking a Twin Elephant Nosh Ipa with Moteuka and Idaho 7.



Have to say this is disappointing, especially after having their Nosh DIPA with Strata recently and thinking it was phenomenal. This just isn’t holding together very well for me at all and is also one of the fugliest beers in recent memory. Look at that dishwater color:



Ah well can’t win ‘em all. It’s just so stark in between the two most recent beers I’ve had in this series. Will definitely buy more and try to see which one is an outlier. I have to say the late of any visibly canning date is a real detraction for me and almost stopped me from buying either beer from this brewery as a result.

 

Whoa, Rare Earth, that's been a minute. Interesting coincidence though (okay, maybe just to me) - last Saturday I went to a tiny town SW of me for an annual car show - not to see the cars, as cool as they were, but to see the band: Magic Bus. They claim to be "A Musical Journey to Woodstock" and they were quite good. Turned out that 2 of their members used to play in Rare Earth. (Yeah, long winded post to just say that.)
