G'morning BA's!

Happy Saturday! The wife is sleeping in, she works tomorrow as she switched shifts so she can have off a day next week...she's going to Europe with our daughter.
So I'm making myself breakfast and having a beer.


A mushroom and Swiss cheese omelet with some left over, slightly reheated in the pan, London Broil, bacon, black coffee and a 2016 SN Narwhal. Slight oxidation, just a hint, but not enough to drain pour.
Plan on finishing both books this weekend, too.

Very cool morning bordering on cold.

Looks like more of this that was probably sitting in the warehouse for who knows how long. Bottled the 2nd week of 2023.
A little "sharp" and not as nicely balanced compared to fresh but still quite drinkable.

Off to a cool start - picked up 250 apples before the yellow jackets and white-faced hornets warmed up enough to become threats. Today's New Breakfast Beer, from Riverside in Grand Rapids:



OK for the style - the slight oaky smokiness was a pleasant surprise. Rating 3.18, rDev -5.1%

 

Played some guitar and cyberpunk 2.0 earlier today. Now time for a beer. Cheers!

A yard sale is thee PERFECT time to break out the heavy stuff, 'specially if you're having it.

 

Pregaming appropriately before heading over to the Sam Adam's Brewery annual employee's Oktoberfest. (The benefits of having a father-in-law who retired from there. ) They really do it up right and it's a full day of all you can eat and drink under a massive tent.
