New user, long time lurker.

    I've recently been trying new whiskey bourbon, beer, wine.

    I am posting this because I tried yesterday St. Bernardus ABT 12.
    Incredible stuff, a bit pricey.

    Would like to see what other stuff you guys recommend. I am not financially rich so please keep that in mind. I love the smokiness of bourbon that burns instantly and remains at the aftertaste. Beer wise I want to try the top 250 beers ideally the top 50 beers but being in Arkansas its a tough state to acquire such fine delicacy.

    Welcome to Beer Advocate @Mclovin713 , and thank you for your introduction. St. Bernardus ABT 12 was one of my first beers I tried in my new exploration of beer eight years ago and it remains one of my all time favorites with Trappistes Rochefort 10, which I hope you have access.

    Arkansas is one of seven states I still need a tick. Reading about beers including Arkansas native BA @russpowell , Ozark Beer Company beers are among the first beers I should consider, BDCS in particular.

    I believe I followed an exploration path similar to others, trying new styles and breweries I had access to, including "extreme" beers like stouts with a bunch of deserts dumped in, before settling on styles and breweries I come to trust will consistently deliver.

    I hope you enjoy your time here, including perhaps regional forums including the South Forum covering Arkansas. I didn't even know there were threads beyond Great Lakes for the first four years I was here. :grin:

    What Beer Are You Drinking Now and New Beer Weekend threads to showcase what you are enjoying (or not) and share in comradery of beer enjoyment and life in general.

    Looking forward to hearing from you with other beers you find and love as much as ABT 12!

    From your username I'd guess that you're a lover of McDonald's burgers, along with the adult beverages of all kinds. Am I right?
