Trying to get back to sleep while kicking off the Monday Virtual Bar. Hope the working crew isn't dreading the start of a new work week. Also finished the four ounces sitting in the can from yesterday after cooling it down.

    Good Monday !
This morning I woke up at dawn for a hearing in another forum, but with a beautiful Sunday behind.
Now take a break at home, before returning to the office for the second part of the working day.
    It's hot and I'm thirsty.
So I opened this "puppet" beer, as we say to mean those beers that seem a little artificial to please everyone:

Birrificio Vetra (Varese, ITA) + The Garden Brewery (Zagreb, CRO) - TROPICALIA - Fruited Sour (4.6%) with guava puree, coconut and salt

33 cl can on the label: "Lot: 381 - Best before: 06/2024"
Collaboration with the Croatians of The Garden Brewery.
4.6% Fruited Sour with guava puree, coconut, salt, lactose and oat flakes.
It's part of the Birrificio Vetra's series of "one-shot" collaborations with other European breweries.
I appreciate that there is all the information about the beer on the label:
    "Malts: Pils and oat flakes.
Fruit: Guava puree and toasted coconut chips
    Yeast: Philly Sour".
On the nose I smell pineapple and passion fruit.
Once poured, the foam is non-existent (similar to that of a Prosecco or a Campari).
Pale yellow color, sheer and quite a bit opaque
The bubbles continue to rise even after being poured.
In the mouth, an explosive guava taste (as soon as you drink it, it's decidedly clearer than the scent that reminded me of passion fruit) on a very light body, certainly also thanks to the use of oats, an acidic note of the right intensity in which they feel light but clear saline notes that remain on the tongue and lips. The fruity taste prevails on the palate as well as light cereal notes that are felt after drinking.
The coconut isn't even reflexively noticeable, suffocated by the explosiveness of the guava, it can only be read on the label.
Very pleasant and thirst-quenching beer, among the many made on this mold (fruity goose with lactose), it's clearly less "artificial" in taste than I expected.
The acidic note is neither invasive nor too hidden, with saline notes that add that extra touch. Another positive aspect: The fruity taste conveys a sense of freshness of the product.
Good purchase and good time to enjoy it.

Good day all, half a day and quite a productive one already. Barbershop done, quick errands and the Physical therapy. Time to chill a bit with some La Trappe Quadrupel:

Bottled 7/13/23. Poured at 53°. It took 40 minutes from fridge to counter to get to cellar temp. Perfect.

Beautiful sunny warm getting hot morning. I’ll do some more work in the garage before heading out for the day. Cheers and have a marvy Monday y’all!

Good day BAs! Off to a cool, damp start to the day - 210 apples (four buckets) this morning before the hornets got warmed up. Thanks, @ChicagoJ for getting us started - last night was poor for sleeping so I spent some time watching the "history" channel followed by an hour of "American Dad" and an hour of "Rick and Morty". Two hours sleep should be enough for the day. @Jack_14 - "puppet beers" indeed! This needs to be a sub category for all styles to handle those brewed by monopolistic mass brewers! I love it! @Shanex - keep up with the PT - one study I read said that for hospital-based patients, better results were obtained if the patient had PT daily, not just Mon - Fri (How many hospital-based PT departments do it).

Today's New Breakfast Beer, one I've had previously but never rated:

Another fake pumpkin beer - ya gots ta go to the website to find out ain't no pumpkin in it, just various spices - to my taste, nutmeg predominates. Rating 3.13, rDev +1%.

Dorchester Pie Fight! pumpkin ale, 5.3% - vastly improved the character of this ale by letting it warm up and trying a different glass. This works well for maple beers too! Cheers! :beers:

A quadrupel must be a good additional medication to physical therapy I guess. Relaxing for muscles and joints. Hope the knee is getting better.

Not as quickly as I’d have hoped but the PT is helping nonetheless.

The work trip to England is over? Cheers.

Indeed, back home on the Continent again.
Had no chance to go to Manchester, or other 'fancy' beer places in between. But had some very nice cask ales along the way. Had cask ale before. But now I even more appreciate the style (low abv but very tasty).
    Cheers

Hey BAs! Happy Monday or Tues wherever you may be! Thanks @ChicagoJ for 3992. I'm home after gettin' rained out on my run. It looked okay on radar and was only misting but then whammy! and it's beer rainin' cats 'n dogs for 45 min now. Still is. Straight down hard, driving rain. Only had to go 1/2 mile in it as I stayed close to home but feet were soaked. Fun! Anyways, me cerveza para empezar: Illuminated Brew Works Weird Studies Black IPA. Got a 4pk of this at Binny's in Blmgtn, illinois. I'd buy it again. Still just Jan Hammering rain. Yards are starting to pond. Cheers!
