Quaff On! Busted Knuckle Robust Porter. Very EZ drinking, med-light bodied and balanced. No coffee!

Black Butte is the real deal! This is what I want when I want a dark beer 85% of the time (the other 15% I want a bigger wallop of malt sweetness balanced against boozy dryness from a liquor barrel). This feels like the perfect little brother to Old Rasputin, my preferred porter and stout porter combo

I had this beauty over the weekend from @snaotheus

Bizarre Brewing - The Flood (English Porter 3.8%)

Pretty much all I want in a beer, details in profile/reviews.

...I've always loved Millstream beers...Air Porter is a solid beer...pours a clear yet dark brown color; sports a thick, lasting, khaki colored head...lightly sweet and soft cocoa notes in the aroma...the taste builds on the smell and features a richer, sweeter taste; chocolate and roasted grain notes; low-key hop presence...the mouthfeel is soft and spongy with a velvety texture on the palate...

...porters are one of my favorite styles of beer, and to find a nice, easy drinking, no frills example such as this is quite

...good to revisit and re-review this fine beer:

Hoppin' Frog Brewery -- Infusion A: Peanut Butter Chocolate Coffee Porter

    Revisited September 28th, 2023

Dark mahogany brown toned pour, opaque in the glass; thick, frothy head, khaki colored; thick strings and patches of foam cling to the glass. Heady swirl of cocoa, coffee, peanut butter, and caramel char. The taste builds on the smell; richer, maltier, more chocolate and peanut flavored; toffee and coffee underpinnings; coffee bitterness. Heavy body; mildly scratchy and velvety texture; dense residual sugars yet with a subtle dryness coursing through the thickness.

This stunning coffee and peanut butter porter works wonders on the palate. Dense with flavor, smell, and texture, it delivers a fantastic drinking experience.

    4.25 4.5 4.0 4.25 4.25; BA rating: 4.21; rDev: -1.4%

Deep, nearly impenetrable brown body; thick, dense head. Incredibly aromatic smell; heavy on peanut butter; chocolate; subdued notes of coffee. Heavy body; smooth at first yet ending with a warm and sweet feel.

A massive beer delivering big chocolate, peanut butter, and coffee flavors and aroma. Excellent mouthfeel and very appealing to the eye.

My first time posting to this thread, just spotted it yesterday. There are some really good ones out there and I try as many as can to find the sleepers.
    This isn’t one of them.
it’s not bad at all, it’s really quite tasty. Just doesn’t have the depth of flavor that the best ones have.
    Cheers!

Breaking into the last six pack I have. It’s a bit old and still a good beer but not what a fresh one was. A bit muted.

I do remember loving a porter I bought last year from Three Floyd’s just before the holidays. Can’t remember the name right now but it had gold lettering on the label

    Enjoy

Boy did I need something stiff and this is doing the trick.

Offset Bier - Drawn to the Dark (bourbon barrel aged imperial porter)

Purchased at the brewery for $13

No bottling date, likely early Sept according to Untappd.

Poured at 40ish degrees into an oversized wine glass

Pours deep brown with caramel edges and a thin 1/2F head. Very fine lacing trailing behind. 4.25

Strong vanilla, light wood and barrel, barely sweetened chocolate. 4

Alcohol is present but incredibly muted. Woody, tannic, soft bourbon. Vanilla and chocolate come out as it warms. 4.25

Warming, low carbo, and very mild/medium body considering the 13% abv. 4

Overall a enjoyable BBA porter I'd try again, price/size being the only deterrent, but for flavor it was excellent. 4

First year canning this one. This years batch is great...has a good amount of Cinnamon and spice, dark Choclate and just a little pumpkin which is good...Pretty thick and luscious..Moderate booze to round it out...Winner
